By looking at the clock and the hands on the clocks
An hour has 60 minutes, and we know by looking at the clock
Using a pencil we write number that form time
Minutes is the big hand on the clock, and the last two numbers on other clocks
Hours is the small hand on the clock, and the first two numbers on other clocks
You add time by lining up the numbers and add each number up
You take away time by subtracting and lining up numbers

Title: Telling Time
Suggested Length of Time: 3-4 days
Standards Addressed
Engaging Scenario
Engaging Scenario (An Engaging Scenario is a culminating activity that includes the following
components: situation, challenge, specific roles, audience, product or performance.)
I would have the students make me a comic strip about time. They will
create a story and draw pictures for it. There will be requirements, where
they have to draw a clock and write that time, and to give an example of
being late or on time. In addition they will use AM and PM.
