Procedure/Experiment: Clear out monkey house
A strain of ebola has been identified in a monkey exportation business we need to clean
the building and euthanize all of the monkeys inside. We are going to be using Racals (biological
spacesuits) (a)bleach (b), to clean as we go and euthanasia equipment(c). Everyone who goes
inside the monkey area must be wearing a Racal they will then be assigned a job. Everyone will
be working with a partner. After me and Sergeant Thomas have given a monkey anesthesia and it
goes unconscious it will then be put on the bleed table and its blood will be drawn after which it
will be euthanised. Finally the last group will do a necropsy on the monkeys and collect samples.
Monkeys are then to be triple bagged and sprayed with bleach to be properly disposed of later in
an incinerator. Partners must check each other often and each group should take a break every
hour. All of the monkeys must be euthanized and the building should be checked again for any
live monkeys once that is done the decontamination team can come and clean the building of the
disease.

Procedure/Experiment: Cleaning the monkey house
The last of the monkeys have been euthanized and it is nw my team's job to make sure
that this disease never comes back. We need to get rid of blood, feces, and clean everything else.
The equipment we will be using will include Racals(a) bleach(b), sterilizing crystals(c), sunbeam
frying pans(d), and Bacillus subtilis niger (e). First stage of the decontamination of the building
will include scrapping the blood and feces of the monkeys off the tables and walls then scrubbing
all surfaces in the building with bleach. Then the next stage will include every way for air to
escape the building being sealed with tape and or plastic. After all of these are covered the
harmless but incredibly hardy spores of the bacterium niger will be put around in the building to
test if the decontamination was successful. Then sunbeam pans will be put around the building
and wired to a master switch. Sterilizing Crystal will be put into the pans. Then after everyone is
out of the building and all exits sealed the pans will be turned on causing the crystals to boil
releasing formaldehyde gas which will sit in the building for three days eliminating the virus
from the building. After the three days the team will go back into the building still wearing
Racals and check the spores. If they are dead the building was successfully decontaminated and
can be returned to Hazelton Research Products.

Procedure/Experiment: Electron Microscope
Using an electron microscope is a long procedure you need a lot of equipment and to be
very careful. In order to use the microscope I need a diamond knife (a) a cutting machine(b) a
grid (c) and of course the electron microscope(d). When I have the cells cultured I will need to
thin them out so I will install the diamond knife a extremely sharp knife used to split cells into
the cutting machine. Next I will put the cells inside of the cutting machine and slice them up into
smaller pieces to be looked at under the electron microscope. After the cells have been
sufficiently sliced I will pick them up using a grid a small grid filled disk. After which I will
then put the grid into the sample holder a large metal rod which I is to be fitted into the electron
microscope a metal tower taller than a person. Once the sample holder is inside I will turn on the
electron microscope which will focus a beam of electrons on the sample allowing it to be
viewed.

Location: Kitum Cave
Procedure/Experiment: Locating Marburg
This was the one place where Peter Cardinals and Charles Monets paths crossed. I was
going to search that cave to see if it had marburg and this time I had the proper equipment
including Racal suits(a) cages with monkeys (b) dissection equipment (c) euthanasia equipment
(d). We stayed in the old lodge at the bottom of the mountain . The entrance of the cage was gray
area and next to it was the staging area. Along the mountain we placed cages with monkeys to
see if they get sick with any disease. Then we will also went inside the cave to collect insects and
other small animals for testing. We also talk to the natives and test their blood for marburg
antibodies. But as the days went on we found nothing the natives showed no signs of marburg.
The monkeys were healthy and none of the other animals and insects we captured showed any
signs but we continued our test. Eventually though we had to give up. This was the worst part I
new none of those monkeys were sick but part of the experiment involve euthanizing them at the
end so there blood and tissue could be tested. I was right the monkeys showed no signs of any
sort of disease in their blood or there body. The experiment had gotten us nothing except the
guilt of killing these healthy animals. Marburg would continue stay hidden and this expedition
turned out to be a waste of resources how ever I did stash the supplies away for future use if they
were needed.
