Phoenix Engineering offers employees who are considering separating from Phoenix the opportunity to scale back their percentage effort to 50% for a designated period. This is the Phased Separation Program, which is a rolling program with no deadlines for application submissions. Typically given a three year period, employees will retain regular employee status, eligibility for raises, and fringe benefits. The Phased Separation Program is designed to create a more gradual transition for both yourself and Phoenix. The program offers opportunities such as working only half-time each year or full-time for six months of the year. This time period allows an employee to remain an active member of the Phoenix community, while Phoenix can recruit and train a new associate. This year, Phoenix hired 16 new college graduates and 24 college interns. Many at Phoenix have benefited from the aid these new members provide to our services. Through programs such as the Phased Separation Program, the funding for these positions was made available. Human Resources has prepared documents comparing benefit packages of the Phased Separation Program to similar opportunities.
