12 - What did the instructor do that was most helpful to my learning in this course?
After major assignments our instructor gave us very constructive comments which helped us with future assignments.
By far my favorite class even though it was meant to be over a 3 hour course i liked that he ended class early. Used great and interesting videos minus maybe one or two. Great instructor. Could tell
he loved teaching and always seemed willing to help students with any questions they had. PAT's are difficult but manageable. Did not think sociology would be anything interesting but ended up
learning a lot. Great class.
Dr. B is great! I really enjoyed this class! It was fun and inciteful and make me look at things from a different perspective.
Dr. Buemi was always forthcoming with the requirements of his class. He treats his students fairly and gives concise instructions for each learning plan. The structure of the class was very easy to
follow and the content was interesting. I enjoyed being a student in Dr. Buemi's class and have learned a lot from the material presented.
Easy to follow Learning Plans, and mapped out PAT's.
He always had reminders on blackboard and always communicated with me, very helpful
He asked us questions. I believe this is what got the students here to think more in depth.
He had me refer to the grading rubric after my assignments were graded to see what areas I needed to improve on for next time.
He makes the class very fun and interesting. I've actually enjoyed every class that we've had this semester and I didn't think that I would.

I completed this class online and liked that we were given just as much information as the students in person, thus doesn't always happen with online courses. I appreciated the discussion board

I lost my father unexpectedly in the middle of this course. My instructor did what they could to help me catch up. For that I am grateful.
I loved all the activities that my instructor did and the videos. I'm a hands on learner and it really helped with my learning in that way. I also loved how he put the content into your knowledge so that
we would better understand it; instead of all the big fancy words that you can't pronounce or remember.
I really loved that everything chapter and assignment was extremely clear on the expectations. The timelines are super helpful. All of the reading material was provided which was super nice. As a full
time student, working full time, the consistency is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you for a great course!

Samuel Buemi is a great instructor. This was one of my harder courses which only pushed me to work better.
Taught me things I never would have learned on my own.
The assignments were all over the place and slightly complicated to find where things were due and where they were to be submitted.

The instructor enhances my understanding of Sociology. He also broadens my content of the subject.

The power points that were posted in the online classes were very helpful and helped engage me in this class.
There was multiple different resources to learn about Sociology from the text book to powerpoints and additional articles that were provided.
This instructor made sure you knew the material and how you would be graded. He also provided information on how to find resources and responded to emails quicklly.

13 - What reasonable suggestions for improvement do you have?

Awesome!
Get rid of "peer review" journal articles for the PATs... There isn't much on the library's page that relates to the questions on the PAT anyway. Trying to find subject matter that lines up with the points
students are trying to convey with limited resources is difficult. Why not allow open research, as long as it is from a credible source?
He is doing a great job, doesn't need improvement

I found the papers to be confusing on the topics to mesh together from partial book sections.
I honestly loved everything about the class and the way it was taught.
I think that you are a great teacher and that your teaching style has very little flaws to it.
i thought the class was very informational and reasonable with the homework and how everything is laid out with assignments being due and stuff. Best class i've taken at NTC
Maybe make the grades on the quizzes worth more than participation. Perhaps making the questions on the quizzes worth 2 points each instead of ten. or just have 20 questions.

The only thing I would suggest is to let students be fully aware that this is a pretty fast paced course with having all of the quizzes due on February 26th. I am not sure if I accidentally signed up for an
accelerated course.. but I definitely was not expecting this fast of a pace with going to school full-time, and working two part time jobs.
This is not so much a suggestion for the instructor or course itself, but more of a comment. I felt that some of the material and coursework was heavily opinionated and geared towards one political
agenda. I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing, but I can see how younger learners may take this teaching and information as gospel, and apply it to their lives. Its not very objective. It felt like there
were certain undertones of suggestion and trying to sway readers/students towards a particular political view. Again, this was nothing the instructor did or needs to improve on, more so the textbook
and coursework itself. Overall, an interesting and easy to follow course. Thank you!
