Genre Analysis: Education

Education

In the field of education there are many different types of genres that discuss the
degree of education. Various forms of research from monographs to digital sources
contain information about the subject. This information gives the reader a clear
understanding of what each source is and exactly where it came from. In this case,
sources from different types of educators were used through monographs, scholarly
articles, and digital sources.
The selection of genres affect scholarly by giving each reader a different
perspective on education. Throughout these articles education is seen and used differently
and among each author. The first genre is a book reference or monograph written by
Thomas Gary called Education: a very short introduction Its publication is Thomas, G.
(2013). Education: a very short introduction Oxford Oxford University Press.
According to Thomas Gary education was not only seen from people today, but as well
as people from history such as Piaget. Thomas views the importance education has and
how it affects the future to the audience. On thee other hand, the second genre discussed
is a scholarly article written by John Wood called Creating Room to Read: a story of
hope in the battle for global literacy Its publication is Wood, J(2013). Creating room to
read: a story of hope in the battle for literacy. New York: Viking. According to John
Wood education was to be fought for because it was a right they were not given. Wood
saw more of education being a fundamental or necessary to their community This both
genres differed in the manner of Thomas Gary seeing education as how it affected the
people and John Woods saw education as being fought for.

Education

Truth differs from knowledge in the manner of truth being more accurate than as
to knowledge of to be belief in concepts based off of past experinecs. Truth comes from
developing information and data well knowledge based off of what someone assumes.
According to Williams, M. E. (2005). Education :Opposing viewpoints. Detroit: Green
haven Press. truth is a solid outcome of the situation and remains that way based off of
evidence. Moreover, knowledge is knowing the outcome because of personal experinces.
In that same manner truth is a more accurate conclusion than knowledge. On the other
hand, Lauder, H., & Brown, P. (1988). Education :In search of a future. London; New
York: Falmer Press truth is just the evidence that is given to a person well knowledge is
based off of valuable information learned over the past. Furthermore, truth can been seen
as an individual believing what information they found as to knowledge being well
thought out and evaluated. Truth is based off of what information is given to a person
well knowledge on the other hand is an opinion and not so reassuring to the question.
Through this process truth differs from knowledge in many ways because of one being
information analyzed as to information assumed.
There are many questions this degree contains throughout the career. Some things
to anaylze about the degree of education that require research and critical thinking. How
does education contribute to the lives of society? Another question to think about is how
do educators plan to make education their number one priority? Is the study of education
necessary in the world today? These are all question to research about well investigating
this career. Sonnia Nieto was a someone who achieved all these levels in education. As a
women in education this has major influence among all schools including UTEP.
According to Sonia Nieto, she is a scholar for the field of education and taught

Education

many young individuals. She focuses on the education of all people and improved their
level of knowledge. As a women on many school boards she received many awards and
was a role model to many people. As a major in education i hope to achieve all my goals
in getting the opportunity to help young children to learn and motivate them. Not only do
I want to make a difference in society, but as well as helping an individual to see what
they can achieve in learning. Nieto could not have made the definition of learning any
more clear she did because she impacted society.
These sources are very different in their own ways .Through the use of
monographs information researched defines the meaning of education and how society is
affected by this field. They use structure in the way that they organize information of
written articles by the title, authors name, and dates. Delivery is the
information given to the monograph in which states facts. Scholarly articles is articles
based from an individual who is well educated and knowledgeable. They seek
information from studies and data. Scholarly articles use structure in containing
information that is searched. Both contain evidence to support their information which is
what makes them accurate references to use.

The genre more effective is a scholarly article for many reasons. First of all, a
scholarly article is information used from various author in which has more evidence to
prove the point. Moreover, scholarly articles are researched papers that have been proven
by many well educated individuals. Lastly, the tone of an article is serious and taken into
manner audience. For example, a monograph, gave a specific study of its subject in
various views. The Scholarly article gave various evidence from many individuals. The

Education

genre of greater value to scholars building new knowledge is scholarly articles. Scholarly
articles not only developed evidence from research, but as well seek many professional
individuals for stating specific evidence.
