Bullying
There are so many people in the world that are being bullied, not just physical
bullying but in cyber bulling and many other ways of bullying. This problem needs to be
fixed in the world so the world can be a better and happier place. Some people might not
notice this problem but the ones who notice it the most are the ones being bullied. So we
need to find more and better ways to prevent and reduce this problem all over the world.
Also another thing we all need to remember is that the way people are treated when they
are little can affect that person in many ways when they get older. So everyone should be
trying to help and reduce this problem.
So I have been Researching a lot of reliable sources through the Salt Lake
Community College, I have discovered that there are so many ways that we can prevent
bullying and I have found allot of good information that I could use for my topic. I chose
bullying because it was interesting to me how much people get bullied or cyber bullied
throughout individual lives. So I started doing research on how people are trying to fix this
problem. After all the research I have done I became more open minded that there are so
many different ways we could solve this problem. Out of all of my research I have picked
four different sources and point of views for my topic.
The four sources I have chosen are The school of Psychology, The school
Violence, The Child and Youth care Forum, and last The Youth and Adolescence. The
first source I have chosen is The school of Psychology, at the school of Psychology they do
different research on the victims that get bullied that get bullied at the schools. However,
few of their studies have examined predictors of cognitive and psychosocial factors, such as
locus of control and hopelessness. The study that was examined had a sample of four
hundred sixty nine middle school students. So there trying to find a way to prevent and
reduce bullying for all of the students. The second source that I have chosen is School
Violence from the Curry School of education. The school has examined how retrospective
administrator reports of both the prevalence of teasing and bullying and the use of evidence
based bullying prevention efforts might be associated with school wide performance on 11
state-mandated achievement tests. These efforts were associated with the proportion of

students that passed achievement testing. The third source I have chosen is Child and
Youth care Forum. The method that they have used was that young people aged 11-21
from ten residential institutions in Croatia completed an anonymous self-reported bullying
questionnaire. The results demonstrated that both bullies and victims reported having
significantly lower levels of perceived peer support than other residents. Also Male victims
were significantly younger than non-victims. Over all they provide initial support for the
notion that the special nature of the physical and social residential environment may be
important in explaining bullying in care. The last source I have chosen is The Youth and
Adolescence from the department of communication studies. They talk about the social
anxiety that is associated with victimization and perpetration of cyber bullying. The studies
that they have examined are the short term longitudinal associations between feelings of
social anxiety and involvement in traditional bullying and cyber bullying. They say that
among two thousand one hundred and twenty eight adolescents aged 10-17(56.6% girls)
were involved in traditional bullying and cyber bullying. So they investigated the social
anxiety and the perpetration of bullying. The result they have found is that the perpetration
of traditional bullying predicted subsequent higher levels of social anxiety so there are
trying to reduce the high levels.
I know that preventing bullying is could be hard sometimes. But out of all the
research I have done, I know that there are so many different ways that we can prevent and
reduce this problem. The interesting thing is I didnt know that there were so many
different ways that we could prevent this, I thought It would be a bit difficult but out of all
the research there are more and easier ways to prevent this.
Bulling is a big thing these days, some people might not notice but there are many
others out there that notice because theyre the ones being bullied. Also the way people are
treated when there are little can effect who there are when they get older, and it will affect
their actions and everything they do. So its important to make that everyone get treated
with respect, because we dont want anyone to feel left out. Thats why its so important that
we prevent and reduce this problem all over the world. There are also too many different
ways that this problem can be reduced and prevented. Everyone may have a different
opinion on how this could be solved but sometimes it doesnt really matter what you use as
long as it is showing progress and results. So it is important to recognize this problem make
sure that we can reduce it and make things better for everyone.

We all need to make sure that we use these methods and help world and make it a
better place, especially for all those who are victims in any kind of way. So we all need to
help and reduce these problems and make sure we all treat people with respect. There isnt
only one solution because you never really know what your solution can be, because
everyone is different and there are so many methods that could be used. Some might work
and others might work for others. But there will always be a way to prevent this problem.
