Thanksgiving Feast

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a time to be
thankful and grateful. On
Thanksgiving I go to two
different houses. I go to my
great aunts and uncles house,
and then my grandparents
house both live in Murrells Inlet.
We have a lot of food like turkey
and ham and barbecue,
sometimes we have deer and
duck. We have a lot of mac and
cheese, collard greens, and
many other things. One of my
favorite deserts to eat on
Thanksgiving to eat is pumpkin
pie or sweet potato pie. We play
football and we also watch some
of the football games that might
be on. We play games like
apples on apples, and there is
another game we play that you
have a word and you have to
draw it and someone has to
guess what it is. I do a lot of
things on Thanksgiving and I
love ever thing that I do.
What We Do
At my great aunts and uncles
house we play games, watch
football, and watch the NFL
games that are on. My brother
and one of cousins and I drive
the golf cart around the inlet. We
usually eat around one or two in
the afternoon. A couple hours
later I go to my grandparents
house and I get to see more of
my family. There we usually eat
around five or six. We pretty
much do the same thing at their
house as we do at the other one
we go to. After eating at both
houses I go back to my house.
We set up for Christmas and get
ready to go black Friday
shopping, or sometimes we load
up the RV and go to a Clemson
football game.
Seats

To find a place to sit down and

eat is hard. At my great aunt and
uncles house there are a lot of
places that you can sit at. You
can sit outside or you can sit
inside. My cousin and I usually
sit outside and eat because you
can look at the inlet and see the
beautiful view. Inside the house
there are multiple places to seat
and eat. You can sit in the dining
room or in the kitchen or in the
living room. Then there is a
table for the little kids to sit at.
At my grandparents house you
there are a couple places to sit.
The adults usually sit at their
own table and my cousins and I
sit at a different table. Either
way you get to eat some good
food.
The Meal

We eat a lot of food on

Thanksgiving. We usually have
multiple options of meats such
as turkey, ham, barbecue
sometimes duck and deer. At my
great aunts and uncles house
they lay all the dishes out on the
island and you sever yourself
and get as much as you want.
Then you have to find a seat
wherever there is one usually
my cousin and couple other
people and I sit at the table
outside. Then after I am done
eating Ill go and get some
desert and there are lots of
pies and cakes. After we
finish there we got to my
grandparents house we only
have turkey and ham as meats.
They put all the dishes out on
the counter and its like buffa
style. My grandma usually
makes pecan pie or she makes
sweet potato pie or sweet potato
cake I love all them. Both meals
that I have are really good and I
am thankful for all the food that
I get to have.
After the Meal
After all of the meals I go home
sometimes we start decorating
for Christmas, or we get ready to
go black Friday shopping, or we
pack up and get in the RV and
go to Clemson. If we stay home
we start decorating for
Christmas. We decorate the tree
and put garland up and put
poinsettias on the stairs. If we go
black Friday shopping my mom,
one of my cousins and I, will go
together. We get up early in the
morning and go to the mall or
the outlets and shop a bunch. If
we go to Clemson we leave after
both of the meals and we stay
until Sunday. The football game
is on Saturday and we have this
huge BBQ on Saturday where
hundreds of people come eat at
our tailgate. Both option I enjoy

because I get to spend time with

family and friends that I dont
get to see.
Thankful for
I am Thankful for many things
that I have in my life. First off I
am thankful for all my friends
and family that are always there

for me. I am also very thankful

for my mom she is always there
for me and when I need her she
is there. I am thankful for
football because when I go up to
the Clemson football games I
get to see people that I dont see
all the time and I only see them
in Clemson and they are

important in my life. I am also

thankful for all the food that I
get to eat on Thanksgiving.
Because some people in cannot
afford to eat such a big meal. In
general I am so thankful for
everything I have in my life and
the people that are in it.
