What are Data Feeds?
Data Feeds are files that contain information about various products in the Amazon catalog.
These are available for various top-level categories that Amazon has products for.
What information can I find in Data Feeds?

Data Feeds contain specific product information for each ASIN they include. While this varies
depending on the product category, the product information includes, but is not limited to:

How current is the information in the Data Feeds?

Data Feeds are generated daily to reflect the most recent prices that apply on Amazon. In
addition to this, we may also provide access to Delta Feeds which are a subset of the regular
feeds you consume. These Delta Feeds contain product information for those ASINs that have
undergone a change in price/offers.
What format is the Data Feed in?

Data Feeds are usually available in XML and CSV formats.
How are feeds organized?

Feeds are grouped by the category of products they contain. A consumer electronics feed will
contain products like phones, music players, etc. while an apparel feed will contain products
like jeans, shirts, t-shirts, etc.

What are the product details available in a feed?

The details shown for a product in a feed depends on the category of the feed. Broadly, there
are four categories of feeds:
1. Electronics related Separate feeds for consumer Electronics, Cameras, Large
Appliances, Kindle devices, Mobile Electronics, PC and Tools will share a common set of
product details.
2. Books and Media related Separate feeds for Books, Digital books, DVDs, E-books,
Kindle e-books, Magazines, Music, Software, Video games and Video will share a
common set of attributes.
3. Softlines related Separate feeds for Apparel, Designer Apparel, Jewelry, Luggage,
Shoes, Sports and Watches will share a common set of attributes.
4. Other categories All other categories which do not belong to the above categories will
share a more general set of product detail attributes.

What are the types of feeds that are available?

Data Feeds are available in several Amazon categories. These feeds can be of broadly two
types:
1. Daily Feeds Feeds that are generated every day and contain information on all ASINs in
a particular feed.
2. Delta Feeds This includes a base feed that is similar to a Daily feed and is generated
once a week. It also includes a series of incremental feeds that are generated after the
base feed in an interval of 3 hours. The incremental feeds contain information on only
those ASINs that have been updated, added or need to be removed since they are no
longer available. These incremental feeds are with respect to the ASINs previously
included in the base feed.
Whats the difference between a base feed and an incremental feed?

A base feed is generated once a week. It is very similar to a Daily Feed and includes all the ASINs
that are supposed to be included in the feed you have access to. The incremental feeds are
generated in 6 hour intervals after the base feed. They will only include information on ASINs
that have been modified since the base feed (or previous incremental feed) was generated. This
includes ASINs that have:

2. Undergone a price change since the base feed (or previous incremental feed) was run
3. Gone out of stock and are no longer available
How do I download the data feeds?

Using the username and password provided to you, you can view and download the feeds you
have access to at the following URL:

Do I need to login and download the feeds every time? How do I get my scripts
or programs to do this for me?
You can also use your own shell scripts to download and parse the data feeds available to you.
You can do this in two steps:
1. List the feeds available for download:

The following shell command will list all the available feeds:

Once youve listed the feeds available for download, you can also write a script to
download the available feeds. The command below will download a particular feed:

What will the file names for the feeds be?

The daily feeds will have a file name that you will be informed of at the time you are granted
access.
The incremental and delta feeds however, work similarly but also follow an additional naming
convention.
The base feed is always generated first and has the format <feed file name>_<date in
yyyymmdd format>.base.<feed format>.gz eg. br_books_delta_feed_20150103.base.xml.gz
Subsequent incremental feeds will have the format <feed file name>_<date in yymmdd
format>_<number in series of incremental feeds>.delta.xml.gz eg.
br_books_delta_feed_20150103_1.delta.xml.gz
Here, the number in series of incremental feeds denotes which incremental feed this is. What
this means, is that br_books_delta_feed_20150103_1.delta.xml.gz was generated before
br_books_delta_feed_20150103_2.delta.xml.gz. The number is increased for every
subsequent incremental feed. It will continue to increase until the base feed is generated again
the following week.
How do I track items sold through feeds Ive consumed?

We provide three activity reports to help you track information related to the sales generated
by your company:
1. Earnings Report: Financial information related to items sold. Includes details such as
ASIN, Item Category, Date, Earnings, Price, Quantity and Title.
2. Order Report: Order specific information. Includes details such as ASIN, Item Category,
Date, Price, Quantity and Title.
3. Tracking Report: Order tracking information. Includes details such as Tracking ID,
Number of clicks for that ID, Number of items ordered, Number of items shipped and
Revenue from items shipped.
Where can I view these reports?

These reports are downloadable in a manner similar to downloading the Data Feeds. They are
generated every day and stored on Amazons servers and you can download them at any time
using the following methods:

1. Manually from your browser:

Navigate to https://assoc-datafeeds-eu.amazon.com/datafeed/listReports and login
with the Username and Password provided to you. This ensures your reports are only
available to you.

You will then be presented with a list of available reports and a link to download them.
These reports are available in different formats such as TSV, CSV and XML. You can
download the format that best suits your needs.

2. Automatically by running a script:

You can use the following shell command to download a specific report.

curl --location --user <username>:<password> --digest k
https://assoc-datafeedseu.amazon.com/datafeed/getReport?filename=<report_file_name
> > report_name.txt

Where <username> and <password> are your username and password respectively.

<report_file_name> has the following formats:

<store_id>-tracking-report-YYYYMMDD.<format>.gz
<store_id>-orders-report-YYYYMMDD.<format>.gz
<store_id>-earnings-report-YYYYMMDD.<format>.gz

<store_id> is the ID distributed to you by Amazon
YYYYMMDD is the date the report is generated (eg. 20140831)
<format> is xml, tsv or csv

An example file name is myStore-20-earnings-report-20140831.xml.gz
