Professional Experience:
Marketing Intern, DLT Solutions Inc.: Developed keen awareness of IT solutions industry and related
marketing operations including prospecting database expansion and lead generation campaigns with this
fast growing IT reseller. Have been invited to continue internship during upcoming college winter break.
Public Relations Practicum, Mercy House, Harrisonburg, VA: Responsible for public relations and
outreach for this charitable organization that provides food, clothing, and shelter to homeless families
with dependent children in the greater Harrisonburg area. Wrote press releases, newsletters and speeches
on their behalf in order to solicit donations and draw attention to events organized by the shelter.
Sponsorship and Marketing Intern, DMC Companies: Served as sponsorship and marketing director
for the 9th annual Skatefest Fairfax, the largest amateur skateboarding competition in the Washington DC
metro area. Was tasked with constant promotion of this philanthropic event via social media, as well as
reaching out to local businesses and media outlets in search of sponsorship and coverage opportunities.
Creative Consultant/Co-marketing Director for Peepery: Involved in marketing for startup social
media site. Duties included but not limited to spreading awareness of site via social media and developing
future marketing tactics for site.
Member of National Society of Leadership and Success: James Madison chapter, consisting of
seminars and meetings aimed at strengthening professionalism and leadership skills.
