Students will be able to identify and describe the life of one important hero,
who took a risk and impacted the lives of Americans.

Formative: Student will be able to fill out k.w.l. chart can be written in their
primary language or with help of a peer.
Summative: Student will be provided with sentence frames to assist them in
asking or answering interview questions.

Sentence stems will also be provided to assist them with journal prompt. EX:

Gifted Student:
Formative: Student can respond provide additional questions they would like

Assign half of the class to have a privilege the other half of the class

they have researched. (each person will have a role: narrator,
interviewer, interviewee)

asked to write down 2-3 facts about each historical figure.
