Snow Leopard

The snow leopard , snow leopard or snow leopard ( Panthera

uncia or Uncia uncia ) is a species of carnivorous mammal of the
family Felidaey one of the fi ve living members of the genus
Panthera own in the mountains of Central Asia.
The classification of this species has been subject to change and is still
classified as Uncia uncia by MSW3 from 2000 and Appendix I of CITES. However
, with recent genetic studies the snow leopard is now regarded as Snow
Leopard and listed as such by IUCN. Classically, two subspecies have been
attributed but the genetic differences between the two have not been resolved.
They live in remote mountains at altitudes up to 6000 m, which is why little is
known about them . His hair is gray , smooth and exceptionally dense, and has
a tail length also exceptional wrapped around the body to keep warm .
