a look back at the milestones
in His Royal Cutenesss life this
week. From our first peek at him
as a newborn in the Duchess of
Cambridges arms, to waving from
the Buckingham Palace balcony for the first time
and meeting President Obama in his pyjamas,
George certainly knows how to steal the limelight!
His dad Prince William once called him a little
monkey, but we wouldnt want the spirited
youngster any other way.
Also this week, we meet the Love Island couple
that everyones talking about. While Nathan Massey
and Cara De La Hoyde may have won the show, it
was Scott Thomas and Kady McDermott who got
us all talking. They tell us theyre now so serious,
theyve picked out their childrens names!
Next, we head to Essex to celebrate Nellys
second birthday alongside her mum Billie Faiers,
auntie Sam and cousin Paul. From our super cute
snaps, its clear Nelly and Paul adore each other
and are TOWIE stars in the making!
Finally, were still on a high from the triumph
of Andy Murray scooping his second Wimbledon
title. In this issue, Andy opens up about how family
is now his priority after he and wife Kim
welcomed their first child, daughter
Sophia, in February. Enjoy!

Prince George is enchanted by

George marked his second birthday

with a fun-lled party at Anmer Hall,
which included a surprise visit from his
great-grandparents Her Majesty the
Queen and Prince Philip. William and
Kate are said to have invited around
a dozen local children to the low-key
birthday party, with Kate planning most
of the hour-long celebration, which
started at 4pm. Prince Charles and the
Duchess of Cornwall couldnt attend as
they were on an official visit to the West
Country, while Prince Harry also missed
it because he was in Africa, working on
conservation projects.
Although the Cambridges were
away from London, official celebrations
were also held in the capital. At

lunchtime the bells at Westminster

Abbey echoed around the city, while
the Grenadier Guards also played
Happy Birthday during the changing of
the guard at Buckingham Palace.
But what does one buy the future
king on his special day? George has
already enjoyed one early birthday
surprise. A huge fan of aeroplanes, it
was a treat for him to accompany his
parents to the International Air Tattoo
at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire,
the largest military air show in the
world. Donning his snazzy blue ear
defenders, George sat in the cockpit of
one of the RAF Aerobatic Teams Red
Arrow Hawks alongside his parents
and said: Mummy, can I y the Red

telling him: Not right now. Perhaps
George might like a model Red
Arrow to remind him of his big day
out. Another possible birthday gift
could be a new scooter after all,
George has been spotted riding
a Micro Scooter in Kensington
Gardens with his nanny, Maria
Borrallo. Kate said of her son: Hes
got a scooter. Hes going super fast
on it, its hard to keep up with him!
Or perhaps a new tennis
racket will be given to George,
after Kate revealed her son has
already shown an interest in the
sport. At Wimbledon earlier this
month, Kate opened up about little
George to former British number
one Greg Rusedski, who said: She
talked about George, her little boy,
playing tennis.
Despite his young age, George
has already made quite an
impression. The young prince has
been described as noisy and
a little monkey. George, who
has bundles of energy, is also

occasionally described as a little

ruffian by his father. According
to Kate, George is a really lovely
little boy, who is happiest feeding
the animals at Bucklebury Farm
petting zoo or being read his
favourite book, The Gruffalo.
Thanks to his cute side parting
and penchant for Peter Pan collars
and the colour blue, hes already
a style icon like his mother. The
prince is also the youngest in a
historical union of four to appear
on a Royal Mail stamp.
George is perhaps most famous
for his adorable expressions.
Dubbed Curious George, hes a
natural in front of the cameras.
Whether hes making funny
faces or sticking his tongue out
like his uncle Prince Harry, the
nations favourite prince is quickly
turning into a real character, and
according to his father has
inherited the same walk as his
grandfather, Prince Charles!

Prince Georges christening took

place in London on October 23 2013.
Despite being just three months
old, he was already showing signs
of being a little star. A beautiful
portrait was released by Kensington
Palace showing George beaming at
his mother (left). William admitted
George never slept and that his

over time, things got a bit easier.
William also said: Bath time is quite
painful but donning a snorkel and
mask might calm him down.

OK! was there to witness an eightmonth-old George join William and

Kate on their royal tour of Australia
and New Zealand. Along with a valued
team including nanny Maria, George
was able to appear in a number of
engagements. On April 9, Prince
George enjoyed his rst public play
date (left), at Government House in
Wellington. Young George was guest
of honour and enjoyed crawling around
and playing with the toys and other
children his own age. Then, on April 20,
George visited Sydneys Taronga Zoo
(above), where, along with his parents,
he met a bilby a rabbit-like marsupial
who was named after him.

On May 2 last year, George became a brother

to Princess Charlotte, waving with his father
William as he arrived at St Marys hospital (left).
Mum Kate said she hoped George would keep
Charlotte in order and he certainly seemed
to take his new role in his stride. He reportedly
coped brilliantly and seemed pretty happy about
feisty Charlotte stealing the limelight. George

Princess Charlottes christening. Proving
that even royal toddlers have their off days,
the tot who was two at the time was
pictured refusing to enter the church ahead

Like any doting parents, William and Kate

dropped George off for his rst day of
nursery (above) with a backpack lled with
supplies. When the family are in Norfolk, he
attends Westacre Montessori nursery, just
a short drive from Anmer Hall.

As a nation, weve seen the little

prince grow up right before our
eyes and hes certainly packed a
lot in, but what will the next three
years have in store?
As one of the youngest in his
school year, due to his July birthday,
he will start school in September
2017 after turning four. William
has already started thinking about
post-nursery education. When
asked recently about his children,
William, 34, replied that they were
noisy but lovely and that he was
just trying to sort out schools now.
Its not known whether they want
to send their children to a local
school in Norfolk, or whether theyll
move back to London. As a young
boy, William attended Mrs Mynors
Nursery School in Notting Hill,
followed by pre-prep Wetherby
School, also in London.
William and Kates main priority

upbringing as normal as possible.

When asked whether George is
starting to realise he isnt part of
a normal family, William replied:
Well, as far as were concerned,
within our family unit we are a
normal family. I love my children
the same way any father does and
I hope George loves me the same
way any son does his father, so we
are very normal in that sense.
As for Prince Georges future
duties, William thinks its still too
early to talk royal responsibilities.
There will be a time and a place to
bring George up and understand
how he ts into the world, but right
now, its just a case of keeping a
secure, stable environment around
him and showing him as much love

Island, but theres no doubt they were
the shows most talked about couple.
Gripping us with their on/off relationship as
we watched them go through some amazing
highs and emotional lows, we couldnt wait to
meet them fresh off the plane from Majorca
to hear all about their love story.
As they arrive at OK!s exclusive shoot and
begin striking a pose in their swimwear, its
clear their chemistry is undeniable. When
they lean in for kisses and giggle as they
bounce off each other, its hard to believe
their relationship has been such a rocky one.
From Scotts romantic gesture to make
their relationship official who can forget him
asking her to be his gf by spelling it out in
towels? to Kadys meltdown in the hideaway
after Tina Stinnes chose to take Scott on a
date, theyve certainly had their fair share of
ups and downs over the past six weeks.
But these moments have only served to
make them stronger, and talk has already
turned to their future together.
Scott, whos a PR director from Manchester
and is the twin of Emmerdale star Adam
Thomas and younger brother of former
Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas, tells us:
My brothers are amazing dads and some day
Id love to follow in their footsteps. While Kady,
a Hertfordshire make-up artist, adds: Weve
already picked out our childrens names. For
a boy we like Noah and for a girl we want Skye.

Welcome home! Have
you watched any of the
show back?
Scott: I dont know if thats a
great idea to be honest [laughs]!
Kady: Weve watched some
highlights. Some were so nice,
but then we watched my date
with James [Khan] and that
wasnt so good [Kady confessed
to fancying the pants off James
and he appeared to win her over
during their date, but she still
chose Scott in the next recoupling].
Scott: Stuff like that was hard to take.
Kady: We will watch it eventually but we
dont want to cause any arguments or drag
anything up because all those things are in
the past.
Were there points when you didnt think
your relationship would last?
Scott: Maybe after the hideaway incident
[when Kady called Tina the c-word on her
way out for a date with Scott], everyone was
getting in my head. I had the option of doing
what the public and my family probably
wanted me to do, which was couple up with
Tina, or sticking to what felt right.
How did you feel watching yourself back in
the hideaway, Kady?
I laughed! I know Im a drama queen. We
were in there for 17 hours and to
watch someone Id been with for
three weeks on a date was hard.
So you werent embarrassed?
No, because I was just being
me. I think it showed how much

It probably was
overdramatic but
thats the way I am!
How did you feel,
Scott?
It didnt bother me.
I love that side of
Kady. Even when
she called Tina
what she did, it
wasnt malicious.
It showed how
much she likes me
because she was going crazy.
Kady, do you regret saying you could get
any man you wanted?
Yes, I proper cringed. Me and Liv [Buckland]
were just trying to make ourselves feel better!
You said there was a millionaire Tottenham
footballer that youd turned down
Im not name-dropping! Ive been out with

I wanted us to come out into the real world
as strong as possible so I thought, why not
do something special? Ive always been
romantic but I havent had the chance to be in
so long. It took Kady to bring that side out.
Kady: It was so cute. We watched it back and
were giggling our heads off.
What is it about Kady that made you want
to commit?
Her a**e [laughs]! Look at her shes a
worldie [world class]. Shes also got such a
lust for life. Shes so condent in her own skin
and that rubs off on me. We dont take
s**t and we really push each others
buttons, in a good and a bad way. Ive
one million per cent fallen for Kady.
Kady: I wouldnt want a yes man. I like
the fact there are two sides to him
hes sweet and soppy but hes also a
party animal.
Have you both said I love you?
Scott: Yes, but because people dont
understand our situation it feels cringe
saying it to other people. Six weeks
in there is like six months in reality.

but we know how we feel.

Are either of you worried about having a

long-distance relationship?
Kady: No, we work for ourselves so we can make free
time. Its only two hours on the train and we both drive.
Scott: I think it will break things up and keep it fresh.
Well see each other once mid-week and then at the
weekends. Shes coming back to Manchester with me
and were going to Ibiza this weekend.
Can you see yourselves moving in together soon?
Scott: You never know. Weve already lived together so
we know it can work.
Kady: Id move to Manchester, I love it.
Have your families told you off for having sex on TV?
Kady: My mum hasnt even mentioned it!
Scott: I think it may have been a shock at rst but no
ones mentioned it thankfully.
Alex [Bowen] and Olivia had sex 30 times, more

Scott: Those two were ridiculous! It was a joke.
Kady: They were non-stop! Cara [De La Hoyde] and

Why hadnt you had a girlfriend for six years, Scott?
I massively had my guard up. Id been asked to do the
show before but this year I promised myself I was
going to put my guard down so it felt right. A lot of
people had been worried about me and said: You cant
carry on being single for this long. Then I met Kady and
we both put our guards up, but now here we are!
Why did you both have your guards up?
Kady: Id been single for a year and I just wasnt ready
to let anyone in during that time because of bad
experiences in the past.
Scott: I think were both very proud, too. We have egos
and we dont want to get hurt.

What went wrong in your last relationship, Kady?

I think he took himself quite seriously. I like to have a
good time and I have the best time with Scott. This
relationship couldnt be more different. I actually laugh
with Scott, hes my best friend. I can completely be
myself around him and he accepts me for who I am.
Scott: She has her little moments and tantrums,
but thats one of the things I love about her. My last
relationship is so long ago its not even worth talking
about! Shes a hippie now and lives in Ibiza.
Now youre out of the villa do you think youll argue
about anything?
Scott: Were both stubborn so weve already pinky
promised that we cant block each other on WhatsApp
if we have an argument. Love Island was great for us
because in the real world wed have just walked away.
How will you manage the attention youre both
going to get?
Kady: Well be ne. I dont have any worries about that.
Scott: Kady knows shes a good-looking girl. She got a
lot of attention in the villa and I wasnt surprised every
boy fancied her, so itll be no different with lads outside.
Ive only got eyes for her so its not a worry to us.

hey were undoubtedly Love Islands

most consistently loved-up couple, so
its no wonder that Nathan Massey and
Cara De La Hoyde were crowned
winners of the latest series. After pairing up in
the rst episode, circus performer Cara and
carpenter Nathan kept viewers gripped as they
slowly fell in love in front of the cameras.
When OK! arrives to meet the couple at the
ITV Studios in London, they are sitting with their
arms draped around each other looking every
bit as smitten as they did on TV. Theyre also
surprisingly upbeat considering they landed
back in the UK just a few hours earlier. Were so
excited to be back, Cara says. We just want to
crack on with doing normal things like going for
dates at Nandos!
Its not hard to see that the couple are
the perfect t for each other, and the natural
banter between them ows as they ll us in
on their time on the ITV2 show and how they
intend to spend the 50,000 winnings theyve
decided to split. And despite 25-year-old Cara
previously being pictured for lads mags and
starring on X-rated channel Studio 66, she has
said shell be giving it all up in order to focus on
her relationship with Nathan. I dont think Ill go

Nathan: My parents invited Caras family to

Cara: I honestly didnt. I thought Id be one

I trust Cara; as long as shes happy, Im happy. Im

issues closer to home! Andy conded
to Kate and William, both 34, that his
daughter Sophia had slept through for
three consecutive nights ahead of the
nal, which William assured him must
have been a good omen for the match.
In an exchange picked up by the BBC
cameras, Prince William exclaimed of
Andys performance: Congratulations I
dont know how you manage it with no
sleep. William also added: How is your
daughter doing all right? Is the family
good? To which Andy replied: Shes
great. Shes actually sleeping the last
three nights, she slept through. The rst
three months were tough, but
shes ve months now, he said.

secured the second Wimbledon title of his
illustrious career. But as a new dad, Andy
who welcomed daughter Sophia with his wife
Kim in February is now focused on enjoying the

most to him. I want to spend this time with my
family and my closest friends and the people that I
work with, he said after the triumphant match.
The opportunity to celebrate wasnt one to be
passed up and Andy, 29, and Kim, 28, along with
his whole team, hit Drama nightclub in London,
where the group bought tables for 1,000 each
and the night ended with the track All I Do Is
Win, by DJ Khaled. It was a great night, he said
afterwards. Those moments after winning
something as big as Wimbledon really are special.

Yes, I admit, I did. I had a good
feeling about it. I felt like Id

shot. Thankfully I was right!
Your fans are famously very
loyal. One man discharged
himself from hospital after
an operation for a crushed
pelvis and came straight to
Wimbledon to see you. What
does that level of support
mean to you?
Well rstly, hopefully hes okay
and gets back on the morphine!
Obviously thats amazing. The
support that I had throughout
the two weeks really helped and
it does make a difference when
youre out there, for sure.
Every year it looks like youre

killed and more than
50 injured during a
devastating terrorist
attack in Nice last Thursday, stars
took to social media to share their
anguish at the loss of life, as well
as offer their condolences to
victims families.
A spokesperson conrmed singer
Rihanna was in the French city when
a lorry ploughed through a crowd
watching Bastille Day reworks at
about 9.30pm. The driver, 31-yearold French Tunisian Mohamed
Lahouaiej Bouhlel, was shot dead by
police. In the wake of the
devastation, a representative
conrmed Rihanna was safe,
though the star cancelled a concert
which was set for the following night.
Rihanna was due to perform at
the Allianz Stadium as part of her
ANTI World Tour, and took to
Instagram, writing: Due to the tragic
events in #Nice, my concert
scheduled for tomorrow July 15 at
Allianz Stadium will not be going

ahead as planned. Our thoughts are

with the victims and their families.
Meanwhile, scores of celebrities
have also paid tribute to the victims
and expressed their horror after
the attack. Joining the stars speaking
out about the atrocity, reality
TV star Kim Kardashian wrote
on Twitter: My heart goes out to
everyone in Nice. Lots of prayers
being sent your way.
Also sharing her sympathy was

I dont think

I try to be as much as I can, its the
only way as a dad nowadays.
Would you like more children?
In the long run yes, but Im not sure
when that will happen.
Do you think Mia will grow up to
be a sportswoman?
Shes always out and about. Where
we live is an outdoor lifestyle.
Id love her to be sporty but if its
not her thing shell make those
decisions. Were there to support
her in whatever she decides to do.
Id love her to play golf, it would
give me a reason to go to the
driving range!
What do you love about golf?
Its the competitive side of it, even
when youre retired like I am now
its still that competition. Theres
the infuriating side, too it can
be great one minute, terrible the
next. But you only have to
hit one perfect shot and
youll come back and play
again it just sucks you in,
I love it. I get obsessed with
it and I challenge myself
to get better. It can be
therapeutic but it can also
make you angry!
Are you proud to be playing
for such amazing charities
[the Keith Duffy Foundation
and the Caron Keating
Foundation]?
I love Keith Duffy. He can ask
me to do anything and Ill do
it. Hes got the biggest heart
in the world and he delivers
things so well. Its great that
he helps so many people and
it makes a difference.

ones to do
things by halves, so
when Billie invited
OK! along to
celebrate her
daughter Nellys
second birthday, we
knew we were in for a
treat! Taking
inspiration from the
Coachella-themed
bash thrown by Kim
Kardashian for her
daughter Norths rst
birthday, Billie and
her businessman
anc Greg Shepherd
ensured Nelly would
have a fantastic
birthday party.
Stepping into
the garden of the
couples Essex home,
were greeted by
colourful pom poms,
childrens tepees,
a sweet cart and a
face painter. On hand
to make sure the day goes without a
hitch is Billies sister Sam, whos busy
circulating among the guests as they
get in line for a cuddle with her sixmonth-old son Paul.
After some fun and games for Nelly
and her friends, laid on by a pair of
childrens entertainers who Billie hired
for the afternoon, it was time for guests
to gather around the beautiful festivalthemed cake, organised by Sam, as the
guests sang Happy Birthday.
Once the cake was cut, a local
covers band really got the party
started with a little help from Billie
and Sams close friend Ferne McCann,
who got up on stage for a sing-along,
despite only landing back in the UK
from the States just a few hours earlier.
Ferne really got the party going,
Billie tells us as we catch up with her
and Sam a few days after the party.
After all the kids had gone home to
bed, us adults carried on partying until
about midnight. It took me eight hours
to clean up the next day we made so
much mess! she laughs.

on the day was Sams
boyfriend Paul Knightley,
who couldnt make it due to
work commitments. He was
really missed, especially as it

loved to be there, Billie says.

always been close, its clear
that their roles as mums have
brought them even closer
together, with Sam telling us:
Its so special that we get to
help each other out and share
advice. Nelly and Paul adore
each other, too, its so lovely to watch.

So how was Kidchella, girls?!
Billie: There was so much going on
and loads of toddlers running around

the place, so it
was carnage!
I wanted Nelly
to have a really
special day,
so I made sure
there was a lot
to keep the kids
entertained.
We had face
painters,
entertainers
and a band.
God knows
what my
neighbours
must
have thought!
Sam: We had
such a fantastic
day. Billie pulled
out all the stops
she even
had Kidchella
wristbands
made!

It looked like
Nelly had
a great time,
too
Billie: I barely saw
her all day, she was
off playing the whole
time. Every time I
turned around she had
a cupcake in her hand
or someone fussing
over her. She was
loving life! As soon as
she got into bed she
was out like a light.
She was worn out.

How did you come

up with the theme,
Billie?
I was going to have a
fairy theme but I changed my mind a
few weeks before. I was on Pinterest
and saw pictures of the Kidchella
party Kim Kardashian threw for
Norths rst birthday and thought
it was such a good idea. Nelly loves
dancing and singing so it really suited
her personality.
Did Greg help with the planning?

Not really, to be honest. This is Gregs busiest

time of the year at work so he really didnt
have time. In the lead up to the party I had a
different delivery turning up every day I think
he thought I was going mad! Sam was a great
help, though.
Sam: I had a cake made for Nelly and I made my
special chicken curry for the adults to eat later on.
It seems like you have a very close bond with
Nelly, Sam
I love her to pieces. From the minute she was
born weve had a really special relationship.
Billie: She practically lived with us for six weeks
after Nelly was born. They didnt spend a day apart.
Was it nice to catch up with Ferne McCann
after her recent trip to Los Angeles?
Sam: Shed only landed back from America that
morning. She said she wasnt even tired!
Billie: Ferne loves performing, so she got on
stage with the band and sung with them for an
hour. The next day she came over and was like:
Why on earth did I do that? but everyone loved
it. She really got the party going.

Billie: She really is. The other day I had Ferne on
loudspeaker in the car and Nelly shouted out: Hi,

Did Nelly get lots of nice birthday presents?

Billie: She was thoroughly spoilt. Me and Greg
got her an old-fashioned Silver Cross pram for
her dolls and put some money into a savings
account for her. Samantha bought her some
lovely pyjamas and a big black and white canvas
print of Nelly kissing baby Pauls bum!
It looks like Paul and Nelly get on very well
Sam: When Paul sees Nelly he gets really excited.
His little legs go stiff. Nelly absolutely adores him,
too, she always wants to cuddle and kiss him.
Billie: I know Im biased because Paul is my
nephew, but hes the loveliest baby ever. We call
Nelly crazy lady because shes so excitable, but
even when shes being totally nuts he doesnt
care. She goes right up to his face and says:
Hello, baby Paul! and he just laughs at her. We
see Samantha every other day so theyre more
like brother and sister than cousins.
We saw on Fernes Snapchat that the adults
had an after-party once Kidchella was over
Sam: I had to take Paul home to bed so I missed
out on the party but Ive heard all the stories.
Billie: I couldnt believe Nelly slept
through it we were making so
much noise. It took me eight hours
to clean up the next day because we
made so much mess!

Can you believe Nelly is two

already?
Sam: On the one hand it feels like
only a few months ago that she was
born, but then I cant remember a life
without her in it.
Billie: Sometimes I look at her and
say to Greg: She isnt our
little baby any more. Its lovely,
though, because shes become my
best friend.

Sam, does it make you think
about how quickly Paul is going
to grow up?
It really does, but I can honestly say Ive
cherished every moment of our time together
so far. Paul hasnt left my sight since he
was born. They arent babies for long so Im
determined to enjoy it.
What stage is Nelly at now?
Billie: Shes denitely going through the
terrible twos. Shes been throwing a lot of
tantrums but I think some of its frustration.
Sometimes Ill tell her shes not allowed
something and she doesnt
understand why so shell
throw a strop.
Sam: Nellys speech is really
advanced. She can have a
full-blown conversation
with me now.
How do you deal with
Nelly when she throws a
tantrum, Billie?
I try my best to ignore it and
she usually stops. Shes
getting really bossy, too. Shell
look at me and say: Mummy,
sit down! or shell point at the
blinds and say: Shut that!
Every afternoon she wants me
to lie on the sofa with her and

watch TV. It can be hard when I have jobs to be

getting on with but I try to remind myself to make
the most of it as I know it wont last forever.
Is Nelly a bit of a mummys girl?
Billie: She is until Greg walks in the door then its
like I dont exist. Shes such a daddys girl.
Are you and Greg still planning to try for
another baby?
Billie: Its denitely something we want over the
next year or so. Weve always wanted kids who
are close in age. I always thought Id only want
daughters, but baby Paul has made me realise
it would be nice to have a boy
one day.
How is Paul getting on, Sam?
Hes not quite at the crawling
stage yet, but hes getting
there. Ive just started to wean
him onto food. So far avocado
seems to be his favourite.
Do you take him to any
baby classes?
Sam: Hes been going to a
baby swimming class since he
was six weeks old, hes really
good at it. Hes so condent
and fearless in the water, hell
probably be swimming before
hes walking!

You posted on Instagram that hes been

waking up at 5am.
Sam: He was sleeping really well until a few
weeks ago. I think hes about to start teething.
Does Paul help out in the night when he
wakes up?
Sam: Im still breastfeeding so there isnt much
he can do. Paul still sleeps in with us, but Ive
perfected the art of scooping him out of his cot
and feeding him without disturbing any of us.
What sort of dad is Paul?
Sam: Hes so hands on, they adore each other.
Paul takes him swimming every week so thats
their special bonding time together.
How are you nding breastfeeding?
Sam: Im still going strong, Im determined not to
give him a bottle yet. Ive enjoyed every minute.
Tell us about your recent holiday to Ibiza
Billie: It was the rst time Id been on
holiday with baby Paul, so I really enjoyed it.
Our mum came with us which was great as it
gave her a chance to spend some quality time
with her grandchildren.
Did Nelly and Paul behave themselves on
the ight?
Billie: Nelly is okay on short-haul ights, but
when we take her to places like Dubai its hell.
She gets bored and wants to run around, which

What sort of stuff did you get up to while you
were away?
Billie: Just lots of relaxing by the pool, it was very
chilled. I had to have one eye on Nelly all the time
as shes constantly running around all over the
place. I havent been able to have a truly relaxing
holiday since she started crawling at nine months
old. I dont mind, though, we just have different
types of holiday now.
Were you able to go out and take advantage
of the nightlife?

Billie: Our mum offered to look after

the kids so we could go out, but
we werent really feeling it. Me and
Samantha have been on so many
party holidays together that it was
nice to just chill out.
You both looked amazing in your
holiday snaps [right]. Do you feel
condent posing in your bikini?
Sam: Im not exactly where I want
to be, but I feel great at the moment.
I eat really healthily so that plays a
big part in helping me feel good.
Ive got a personal trainer who
comes to my house a couple of
times a week.
Billie: Im happy with
my body but, like all
women, there are parts
Id like to change. My
stomach needs toning
up a bit more.
Did you have fun
lming TOWIE in
Majorca, Billie?
I was only out there for a couple of
days and that was enough for me.
Filming abroad with the TOWIE lot
is always so hectic. They went out
for a few mad nights but I just went
back to my hotel room. It was a
very chilled few days for me.

Billie: Im at a point in my life where I
have bigger priorities than being part
of silly arguments. As a mum, I have

Billie: Of course,
and I always have
that in the back of
my mind I dont
want her to see me
rowing. Im not a
very argumentative
person anyway. Ive
never got involved in

How are your
wedding plans
coming along,
Billie?
Its not going to be
until 2018 but we
already know that
we want to do it
abroad. If we have it in the UK, well have to
invite the world and his wife, which we really
dont want.
Have you been dropping hints to Paul about
proposing to Sam?
Billie: I would never do that, but Id love to see
Samantha and Paul get married one day.

here is an undeniable bond

between Coronation Street star
Bruno Langley and his son
Freddie when OK! joins them
for our family photoshoot. The pair
are obviously very relaxed in each
others company, and at one point
nine-year-old Freddie sweetly tells
Bruno: You didnt tell me this was
going to be fun, Daddy!
Keen skateboarder Freddie is
Brunos son from his relationship
with ex-girlfriend Victoria Roscoe,
and they currently spend two days
a week together, as well as every
other weekend and half of all school
holidays. Freddie is genuinely one
of my best friends, Bruno tells us
during our catch-up. Ive
been so busy with work
lately but when Freddie is
staying with me, I make
sure I give him my
undivided attention.
As well as working up
to 12 hours a day playing
Todd Grimshaw on
Coronation Street, Bruno
has also been hard at work
recording his debut EP
Jump, which was released
on July 1 and hit number
one on the iTunes vocal
chart within a day.
While hes written and
recorded music in private
for years, Bruno recently
decided that now was the
time to nally put his tracks
out for people to hear.
Its one of the scariest
things Ive ever done,
the 33 year old admits,
revealing: I was anxious
about how my music would
be received but I gured
it was now or never. Ive
been sitting on some of
these tracks for years
and I wanted people to
nally hear what Ive been
working on for all this time.
One of the most
poignant songs on the
album is a track called

The Greatest Thing, which was inspired

by Freddie.
But fans of Corrie neednt worry
that a foray into the music industry will
mean the end of Brunos run on the ITV
soap, as thankfully he tells us he has
no plans to leave any time soon!
Here, Bruno talks exclusively
about fatherhood, looking for love
and reveals that he shed a tear while
lming his nal scenes with his onscreen brother, Ryan Thomas
Freddie seems very condent in

Hes quite a condent chap. I always
encourage him to talk to people
because I think people skills are so

important. If we go out for dinner, Ill

always get him to ask for the bill.
Whats your relationship like?
Were really good friends. I always
tell him that its important that we
can count on each other and that we
can trust each other. Hes at a really
great age so I really cherish our time
together. I always tell him that he can
talk to me about anything and I wont
ever be angry. I want us to have the sort
of relationship where he never feels
uncomfortable telling me something.
Does he ever ask for your advice?
Hes a bit too young for that but
hopefully by the time he needs my
wisdom Ill have amassed
the proper answers for
him! Im looking forward
to him reaching the age
where we can go to the
pub together for a pint.
What sort of stuff do you
enjoy doing together?
Freddie is really into
skateboarding so I take
him to a skate park near
where I live in Manchester.
Its a great atmosphere
down there, all the kids are
really cool and help each
other out. Theres a caf in
the middle where I usually
sit with the other parents
or catch up on some work.
Freddie can run around for
hours out there.
Its great hes so active...
Hes also like every other
boy, he likes playing on his
PlayStation and Xbox. But
its good that he also likes
getting out of the house.
Do you help out with
his homework?
I try my best. Im always in
contact with his teachers
asking how hes getting on,
especially with his reading
and writing.

Does Freddie enjoy school?

He seems to, but its hard to get much out of
him! I ask him how school was and he just
says: Fine. I ask him what he did and he says:
Nothing. Hes a typical boy like that.

I played him all the different mixes to see what

he thought sounded best. Kids are so honest.
I know I can rely on him to tell me exactly what
he really thinks. He seems quite excited about
the whole thing.

What does he want to be when he grows up?

Weve not had that talk yet. I want him to enjoy
his time as a child before he starts thinking
about decisions like that. He loves expensive
cars, though, so I keep telling him that hes going
to have to get a good job if he wants one!

How did you celebrate Fathers Day last month?

We went to London to see my sister and her
family. Shes got a son who is 11 so they hang
out. Freddie bought me some aftershave from a
school fair he went to, which was very sweet.
What does Freddie think about seeing his
dad on TV?
Its probably a bit crazy for him. Im not sure
if he thinks its cool or embarrassing. Hes got
a school disco coming up and I threatened to
come in with him and dance in the middle of the
hall and he seemed quite terried by that!

Does he think youre a good singer?

Youd have to ask him! Ive never asked him
because I wouldnt like to know if he thought
I was rubbish!
Is he into singing, too?
Hes more into playing the drums. I bought him
a set for his birthday, so hes learning that at the
moment and hes actually pretty good. Luckily

its an electronic set [which means the sound

comes through headphones] which Im sure my
neighbours are thankful for.
What made you want to release an EP?
Im not getting any younger so I thought I should
do it while I still have the time and energy. These
are the rst original tracks Ive ever released and
I cant wait for people to hear them I actually
think theyre quite good. The whole EP is very
upbeat and positive despite the fact it can be
easier to write tracks that are depressing.
Have you always written music?
Whenever I have spare time, I love to sit at
the piano and write tracks. I used to be in
a band and we would play covers at events
and weddings. I started writing some of
these tracks years ago and theyve been
lying around half-nished.
Whats the plan, career-wise, now that the EP
has been released?
I havent really thought that far ahead but one
day Id love to write for other artists, particularly
anyone who is going to sell millions of records!

How does he respond when people recognise

you on the street?
Hes used to it now as its been happening since I
came back into Corrie three years ago. The other
day I was in a shop with him and as we left a
man was shouting out: Hey you! I told Freddie
to keep walking as I thought it was someone
who recognised me from the show, but it turned
out my card hadnt gone through!

Would you leave Coronation Street to

concentrate on music full time?
At the moment its very much a sideline to the
show. The EP is only four tracks so I dont have
to go on the road to tour the songs. I can do
music alongside acting. At times it was difficult
tting recording in alongside lming because we
can sometimes work 12-hour days, but hopefully
the hard work will be worth it.

I had Freddie in mind when I wrote it. Its
denitely his favourite on the EP.
What else inspires your music?
I nd songwriting very therapeutic, its my
way of dealing with things when I feel down.
If something really negative happens Ill write
a song about it and Ill feel positive again.
Was it nice working with your
sister Amy [left] on the EP?
She played some strings on
a track called Believe. And she
came up to Manchester and
did some arranging for me,
which was lovely. I love working
with my family because I can
trust them to tell me if
something is s**t!
Did you play any of the
tracks to the Corrie cast?
Some of them have been
previewing it on iTunes,
and last week I put hard
copies in everyones mail
trays. Everyones been really
supportive because they
think its quite brave of me
to put myself out there as a
singer. On Corrie I can hide
behind my character but
with music people will see
the real me.
Is that quite scary for you?
Im probably more nervous
about this than anything
Ive done before because
its new territory. But
I think its important to
scare yourself theres
no point always sitting in
your comfort zone.

Do you worry that people wont take your

music seriously because youre a soap actor?
A good song is a good song, no matter who
performs it.
Its been three years since you went back to
Corrie. Has it gone quickly?
It has, probably because Ive been involved in
a lot of big storylines since coming back. Todd
has become quite a big part of the show and
its been nice working on stuff like the death of
Callum Logan [played by Sean Ward]. Its great
that the writers trust me with it.
Was it nice to take a bit of a break from
playing Todd on the show?
It made me appreciate what a brilliant situation
Im in, working
with such talented
people. I still learn
stuff from different
people every day.
Its nice because Ive
known a lot of the
team since I was a
lot younger so they
dont put up with
any c**p from me.
Whats it been like
on set without
Ryan Thomas?
The day after he left
I drove into work
and it felt very weird
knowing I wouldnt
see him. Ryan is like
family to me, Ive
known him since
I was 16 so weve
been through a lot
together. Its the
end of an era for us.
Weve spoken on

the phone a lot and well meet up with the

kids soon.
Did you shed a tear on his last day of lming?
I might have done! It was very hard getting
through those scenes. I didnt want to be soft in
front of the crew but I couldnt help it.
Did you get Ryan a leaving present?
Me and Sue Cleaver [Bruno and Ryans on-screen
mum, Eileen Grimshaw] got him a joint gift. We
got some strange looks when we went shopping
I dont think people could believe that Todd and
Eileen were out together!
Are there any other cast members that youre
particularly close to?
I get on really well with Connor McIntyre [Pat
Phelan]. Hes a bit of a father to me on set. Im
always asking him for advice on my scenes.
How do you unwind after a long day at work?
I really got into Love Island recently. I think Scott
Thomas did really well hes Ryans brother so
Ive known him for years.
Are you dating anyone at the moment?
Im still single. It can be hard to meet someone
working on a show like Corrie because Im always
so busy. It would be great if the right person came
along, but Im in no rush.
Is it important to get Freddies seal of approval
for any future girlfriends?
Anyone who is right for me would have to be right
for him, too. OK!

hen The Real Housewives Of

Cheshire star Leanne Brown and
her former England footballer
husband Wes invite OK! to their
magnicent new multi-million pound home,
were excited to check it out. Driving down a
long and winding track, the road widens and
ahead of us is the sort of property more suited
to the Hollywood Hills than the sleepy Cheshire
village of Mobberley. As a smiling Leanne
greets us from the grand entrance, her two
youngest daughters, Lilia, nine, and ve-yearold Lola, run around the place. Theyre giddy
with excitement at their new home, as
Leannes oldest daughter Halle, 13, looks on.
Leanne, 40, has an ice pack on her neck,
explaining: Were
just back from a
friends wedding in
Italy and I did my
neck in dancing it
got quite messy!
Despite her injury,
the kettle is soon
on and were being
given the grand tour.
The seven-year barn
conversion project
has certainly been

worth the wait. Set in 180 acres of farmland,

the stunning ve-bedroom property has
breathtaking views from every window,l and a
state-of-the-art kitchen. But the icing on the
cake has to be Leannes own hair salon which,
along with the swimming pool, is being given
the nishing touches on the day of our shoot.
We instantly warm to Leanne, and when
37-year-old Wes arrives half an hour later, its
clear that he adores his girls. Their love story
began in a bar in Manchester in 1998 when
Wes was just 18 and Leanne was 21. After
having their rst two children, Leanne and Wes
who played for Manchester United at the
time married at Cheshires Peckforton Castle
in June 2009, with their wedding exclusively

covered in OK!, before adding to their family

with Lola. Over the past two years Leanne
has really stepped into the spotlight, thanks
to her starring role in ITVBe show The Real
Housewives Of Cheshire. Shes also recently
launched her own childrens clothing range
called Kiss Frogs and is seeing more of Wes
now his contract is over with Sunderland FC
and he looks for a new club to play for.
Life hasnt always been as rosy for the
couple, though. Three years ago, Leanne was
left devastated after suffering a miscarriage
and an ectopic pregnancy in a bid to try for a
baby boy. It came to the point where I decided
it wasnt meant to happen, she condes.

I get recognised now which is nice, because Im

used to standing in the background. Its funny
when people ask me for a picture. They even
go up to Wes and say: Can I have a picture with
you, I really love your wife! Im like: Yes!
Wes: Its funny, I watched the rst season and
Ive seen what goes on and I havent watched it
since. I dont like the arguing.
Leanne: Hes watched bits but he doesnt admit
it. He doesnt like being on camera, hes always
been a private person and kept himself out of it.
Wes, you appeared on Leannes 40th
birthday episode
It took a long time convincing me to be on it, its
not really me. I dont mind her being on it, apart
from when she tries to get me involved.
Leanne: I loved that he was on it. He took me to
one side and gave me a Harvey Nichols box with
a gorgeous ring in it, which he chose himself.
Leanne, you were quite feisty in the last
series of the show
Of course I have a feisty side, but its never been
shown before. I stood up to Dawn [Ward] about
Ampika [Pickston] taking me to Paris for my 40th.
I told her I thought her reaction to it all was wrong
and everyone was shocked by that. Dawn knows
that I will always tell her if shes upset me, weve
always had that relationship.
Do you have any regrets about doing the show?
Leanne: No, its fun. It can be quite stressful
and time-consuming, though. You cant plan
anything with the kids because things change
all the time. There are eight women on the show
with families to arrange, so you go a bit mental
because it takes over your life for three months.

How are you and Dawn now?

I got my thoughts out to Dawn on the reunion
show because Id been made out to be disloyal
to her, thats why I got upset. She apologised, she
was just upset. Dawn has this queen bee label,
which she says she hates but I think secretly she
likes it. I love Dawn to bits. She would do anything
for me and is a very good friend. Well never fall
out whatever is going on. I spoke my mind and
she respected that in the end. She just doesnt
like being told shes wrong. Shes got a massive
fan base, but were all ne now, thank goodness.
Tanya [Bardsley] and Dawn are my closest friends,
so having beef with them messed my head up,
especially because it happened on camera.
Does Wes give you good advice?
Leanne: No, he doesnt get involved and hes only
just moved back [after living in Sunderland], so I
havent really seen much of him.

Your new house is incredible
Wes: Yes, its nice. Weve been working on it
for seven years, but when I went to play for
Sunderland I stopped working on it for a while
because I wasnt in Cheshire. I love the bedroom
and my games room with the snooker table.
Leanne: That will be my favourite room because
were going to put a bar in there! Its
been such a transformation from the
barns into this house. With all the land,
its beautiful. Previously, it was just
two old barns so its been completely
rebuilt. Dawn did all the interiors and
Wes was heavily involved it was his
baby from day one. Our bedroom has a
seating area and three en suite dressing
rooms and a massive bathroom. I love
our kitchen-cum-dining room. I cant
wait to have some dinner parties. I love
the outside area and the pool, too.
Are you going to have lots of
house parties?

Leanne: Garden
parties maybe,
but Im too
scared of ruining
the inside. Wed
have to have all
the white oors
covered in plastic
like Dawn does!

how to throw a party! We had a mad night out in
Vegas with them about four years ago, which was
eventful. I got quite drunk to the point of getting
wheeled out of the club in a wheelchair. We
bought a massive bottle of vodka while watching
Calvin Harris, but loads of people were crowding
around our booth so we decided to leave and took
our vodka with us. We drank it in the casino before
we went to another club. Thats when it got messy
for me. How mad was that? Id never do that now.
How did you feel the next day?
Leanne: I dont even remember how I got back
to the hotel. I woke up and I said to Wes: Oh my
God, whats going on? Then I saw the wheelchair.
Ive not been that drunk in such a long time. Wes
actually tried to put me over his shoulder in the
club thats when they said I needed a wheelchair
because the security guard wouldnt let him carry
me over his shoulder. What its like to be young!
Are you still friends with the Rooneys?
Yes, Coleen and Wayne are such a lovely couple.
Theyre so grounded and down to earth and they
have an amazing family around them, theyre very
family orientated. Shes a very good laugh. They
know how to party like we do so we get on well.
Does it matter that shes younger than you?
Leanne: No, Im still 20 years old at heart,
although I might look older!

Take us back to how you two rst met

Leanne: I spotted him and we made eye contact
at a bar called Royals in Manchester. I said to him:
Come here. Wes asked me to go over to him but
my friend said: Dont go over, play hard to get!
I was looking at him for ages when he was with
his friends. In the end I literally pulled him to one
side and started kissing him. I didnt even ask his
name, the rest is history. He was 18 and Im three
and a half years older, hes my toyboy.

Leanne: He took me to a shop called Flannels

and it was scary going into a posh designer shop
for the rst time. It was a Pretty Woman moment.
Wes: Lads dont think like that.
Leanne: Women do! We picked a nice suit
and then ended up going for food. Wes wasnt
hungry so I ate a prawn sandwich and chips in
front of him. I certainly wasnt that girl on a date
saying: Im not hungry, Ill have a salad! I started
as I meant to go on.

What did you do for your rst date?

Wes: I had to buy a suit for one of the games
and she came shopping with me.

What is the best thing about each other?

Wes: Shes given me three beautiful girls.
I love her to bits.
Leanne: Everything. His sense of humour,
hes got such a kind heart, hes so
generous and everyone who meets him
loves him. He can get on with anybody
and nobody ever has a bad vibe from him,
plus he knows how to party! Hes also a
fantastic dad.

Wes has learned to cook and even

insisted on putting in a teppanyaki hot
plate, Leanne says of their kitchen

Wes, was it hard being away from

the kids when you were living
in Sunderland [Wes played for
Sunderland between 2011 and 2016]?
Wes: Yes. It was nice at rst and then it
got boring.
Leanne: Its nice having your own space
but the kids found it difficult. You get in a
routine of him not being around so when
he comes back you have to get used to

living with each other again, then hes gone

again. Weve actually got on really well since
hes been back Im quite surprised. I thought
wed be at each others throats!
Why didnt you move to Sunderland, too?
Leanne: I wanted to when he rst went, but
the kids were starting school and Halle was
starting senior school so she wouldve had
her school year all broken up. I wouldnt have
got Housewives either I bet Wes wishes wed
moved now!
Wes: The show doesnt bother me, I just dont
like it when you get me involved.
Does fatherhood come naturally to you, Wes?
Yes, I always wanted kids. I get bullied by
them, though! If they want something, they
get their way.
Leanne: Hes an amazing dad, hes so hands-on.
Hes always been up in the night with them and
changed nappies. The older two go to him. Halle
is always like: Daddy, can I have some money?
She knows hell let her do what she wants. Now
shes having friends or boys over and shes really
tall and all the boys are tiny, so Wes is like: Yes,
sure, come in, guys. Hes not threatened at all.
Hes a soft touch, Im the strict one. Lola is a real
mummys girl, probably because Wes hasnt
been around that much in the past ve years.
Wes, how did you propose?

It was only when I stopped talking

about it that he did it, Leanne says
of her husbands proposal
We were in Majorca in 2006, maybe 2007, we
were out one night and I planned for Halle and
Lilia to give her the ring. I hid it in my suitcase.
Leanne: It was so cute. I was so shocked, even
though Id been going on about wanting to get
married for ve years. Wes wasnt bothered,
but I was like: Weve got kids, I want to have the
same surname as my kids! I wanted the big do
and the dress, it means a lot more to a girl than
a guy. Then I thought, what more commitment is
there than two kids? It was only when I stopped
talking about it that he did it. He didnt want to
be pressured into it. But it was so romantic.
Leanne, was it nerve-wracking rst meeting
all the WAGs?
Yes of course, I was like, what am I going to
wear? What am I going to say? What will they
think of me? But Ive got a lot more condence
since doing RHOC.
Youve been friends with
Victoria Beckham
Leanne: Yes, shes lovely,
Ive not seen her for years,
since Wes and David were
at Manchester United. We
went for meals with her
and David and we went
round to their house when
Romeo was born. Victoria
was pregnant the same
time I was pregnant with
Halle. I was a bit behind her
so when she had Romeo
I went round to see him.
Victoria said: What are
you thinking of calling the
baby? I said: If its a girl
were thinking of Halle, and
Victoria said: Oh we were
going to call Romeo Halle if
he was a girl. Before that,
Wes wasnt sure about

Halle, but after that he was like: Halle isnt a bad

name, actually! He tells everyone he chose the
name it really annoys me!
Are you still in touch with Victoria?
Leanne: No, she came to Selfridges in
Manchester a few months ago and Id love to
have seen her. A few of the United girls went and
had a nice chat with her. Shes lovely, shes got
such a dry sense of humour.
Tell us about your wedding day
Leanne: It was a gorgeous day, apart from the fact
that I kept everyone waiting for an hour and it was
sweltering in the chapel. The most intimate and
beautiful bit was the vows. I cried. The wedding
ring wouldnt go on so we had a laugh about that.
Wes: It was raining all week but on the day it was
beautiful. I cant remember the end of the night.
Leanne: They say you cant get drunk at your
wedding but I
managed it. We went
on till 6am!
Now the kids are
older, can you go
out on date nights?
Leanne: Yes, but we
always have done
because we have
amazing families and
a housekeeper. Wess
mum and sister are
amazing and now my
mum comes down
from Cumbria for

Wes, do you
ever feel a bit
outnumbered with
all these girls in
the house?

Ive always been outnumbered, I just go round to

my mates house if I need to.
Leanne: Its going to be very expensive when
they grow up and have weddings, but Im just so
happy weve got three girls.
Did you want to try for a baby boy?
Wes: It wouldve been nice but three is enough.
Leanne: After Lola we tried for a couple of years
for another one, but I had an ectopic pregnancy
and a miscarriage, so it came to the point where
I decided it wasnt meant to happen.
What happened?
Leanne: With my ectopic pregnancy three years
ago, I found out I was eight weeks pregnant and
it was only very small when I started to lose it.
When I had the operation to remove it, it was
just a bit of tissue there, so they just ushed it
out so they didnt have to cut my fallopian tube.
Then six months later I got pregnant again. This
time I went for my rst scan and they thought
Id mixed my dates up because there was a
sac there but they couldnt see anything. They
found a heartbeat and asked me to go back, but
I didnt want to go back until I was 12 weeks. I
waited and waited and convinced myself I was
pregnant, but I went back and they said: Im
sorry, its not grown. That news was harder for
me because Id convinced myself mentally that
I was pregnant and that everything was going to
be okay that time.
Did you want to try again?
Leanne: Yes, I did. I had to keep going back for
blood tests because my hormone levels were so
high and Id started to lose the baby naturally, so
I was bleeding for six weeks. My hormone levels
werent dropping so I thought theyd missed
something so I went private and I had a D&C
[dilation and curettage] straight away. They found
a bit of my placenta was stuck on the back wall of
my womb, which the surgeon had to scrape away.
Thats why my hormone levels were so high.

Have you had any difficult labours?

Leanna: Halle was a long 36 hours and Lilias
birth was scary. I was in the pool for a water
birth and she had a poo and the meconium was
in the water. The doctors were like: Get her out
now! Everyone panicked and then I got on the
bed and the pain hit me because I pushed her
out so quickly so her face was bruised. I tore, it
was like a murder scene.
You both have impressive wardrobes whats
the most extravagant thing youve ever bought?
Leanne: Wes bought me a Gucci cropped
leather jacket for 5,000 and I wear it all the
time. It comes out every year and itll never go
out of fashion its nearly ten years old now.
Hes good at shopping hes a shoe man so he
loves buying sexy shoes for me.

Do you do all the housework yourself?
Leanne: Would you like to clean this house?! I
have a live-in housekeeper. If I need her to babysit
or if Im going out, its good having her there all
the time. Shes got her own bungalow here.
How do you feel about the term WAG?
Leanne: Its so outdated. The WAG label annoys
me. I got really offended because I was at home
being a mum to the kids and I loved being able to
do that. Its like any other businessman who goes
out to work away from home or earns the money
and the wife stays at home. Its only because
footballers earn a lot of money and were not
working that they assume youre a sponger.
Is that why you wanted a career of your own?
Leanne: Im building a career for myself now with
the show and my kids clothing range, Kiss Frogs,
but Id never dream of looking down on anyone
who stays at home with their kids. My mum
worked three jobs when I was a kid, we hardly saw
her. I respect her so much because she wanted to
keep the house we were in after my dad left, so
she didnt have a choice. Im lucky enough to be
able to afford to be at home with my kids. I love it.
Do your kids want to be like you when
theyre older?

Then what happened?

I didnt have a period for six months, then I
thought I was going through the change and
after that, Wes was like: No more.

Leanne: I remember Halle saying when she was

younger: When I grow up, I want to be a shopper
like you! Thats all shes seen me doing, but now
Lilia has seen me sketching clothes and she says
she wants to be a fashion designer. I love that
shes aspiring to be something, not just a wife
and a shopper!
Are you high-maintenance, Leanne?
I have one blow-dry a week because its tricky to
dry my hair myself with extensions. I have body
treatments before holidays like the fat freeze and
body wraps. Ive had Botox and my boobs done
a few times. I had them rst done aged 21 and I
got them redone after Halle was born. I wouldnt
mind getting them lifted a bit now!
Are you more aware of how you look now?
Leanne: Yes, I scrutinise myself so badly on
camera. I now have my hair and make-up artist
on hand for every event and interview because
Ive had a few dodgy moments.

Are you a good cook?

Leanne: No, Ive got all the gear and no idea!
Im going to have to learn with my new kitchen.
But Wes has learnt to cook and even insisted on
putting in a teppanyaki hot plate, so Im hoping
hell become the cook!
We hear you love dancing, Leanne
Yes, one of my dreams is to have my own dancing
school and have Halle run it with me. Id love to
do Strictly one day, its my ultimate life goal! OK!

week on her rst grownup holiday, to Xanthi in
Greece with 12 of her best
friends [right and far right]. I
dropped her off at the airport
and it was funny because she
was so excited about going, and
then in the car she told me she
was really nervous! I went
through everything with her and
told her to just be careful.
At the airport, she wouldnt
let go of me. She said: I love
you, Mummy, and ran off, and
then she came back for another
hug! It was lovely really. Shes
phoned me every single day
without fail and said that shes
missing me. Shes also having
lots of fun I know, as Ive seen
her Snapchat! She woke me up
at 1.30am the other night it
must have been 3.30am there to tell me she
was having a good time. I could hear dance
tunes in the background and I was like: Thanks,
babe! But Im happy that shes enjoying herself
and being sensible too.

Meanwhile, Polly [above right] has been doing

really well with her gymnastics. She started a
couple of weeks ago and loves doing handstands
and forward rolls. Shes already improved and
she was brilliant when I went to watch her class.
But best of all this week is that shes had her rst

wholeheartedly agree with what shes

sometimes and it does get you down,

with the argument that just because

had a lot of strong female characters in

sorting out other peoples problems.

odel Abbey Clancy is the

last person youd expect
to be tucking in to a pile
of American pancakes
with maple syrup. But, as OK! joins
her for brunch at Londons Hoxton
Hotel to mark the launch of her
new collection for Reebok, its
clear the mum of two has a
healthy appetite. I dont deprive
myself of anything, she says.
However, pancakes aside,
30-year-old Abbey and her Stoke
City player husband Peter Crouch,
35, are actually on a health kick
as he prepares for the start of the
new football season in August.
Weve cut back on alcohol and
are trying to have lots of juices,
salads and sh, she says.
Peter and Abbey, who married
in 2011, are parents to daughters
Sophia, ve, and one-year-old
Liberty, but Abbey confesses
shed love to add to their family:
Id love more kids, Ive just got to
try and convince Peter!
Between mummy duties,
modelling, writing a book and
her hosting gig on Britains Next
Top Model, Abbey certainly keeps
herself busy, but she still managed
to squeeze in a cameo in the
recent Absolutely Fabulous lm.
When I was asked, I was like: Yes,
of course! I grew up watching it
and it will be a brilliant thing to
show the girls one day, she says.

How are Sophia and Liberty?
Sophias just nished school for
nine weeks lucky her! Not so
lucky for me as Ive got to keep her
entertained. Libertys great but she
doesnt sleep. Shes also getting
so big that its a real workout to
carry her around. Sophias more of
a daddys girl, whereas Liberty just
wants her mum.

Would Peter like a little boy?

When I was pregnant with both
the girls, I was convinced I was
having a boy, but he was thrilled
when they were girls. Peter likes
being the only man in our house.
He has to put up with having his
nails painted and being covered
in glitter, though, so I do think he
needs some boy time!
Are the girls sporty like their dad?
Normally its karaoke or dolls, but
recently Sophias got into tennis.
Peter is a brilliant player when
he was younger he had to choose
between tennis and football
so hes hoping hell have a little
prodigy on his hands!
Were you discussing the
Euros with Peter while he
was commentating?
We dont chat about work at
home. Can you imagine? You
were great on TV last night,
babe! No! Its just normal mum
and dad stuff at home.
When do you start work on
the next series of Britains Next
Top Model?
The auditions have started but
the judges dont get involved until
later Im excited about getting
back to it, though. I was much
tougher as a judge than I thought
Id be, but I think thats the mum
in me. Ive been in their shoes, so I
know how tough modelling is.

ith her rumoured new romance

hotting up, a prole-boosting job as
host on Americas Next Top Model
and a second album nally on the
way, Rita Ora has every reason to smile. Having
split from US rapper Ricky Hil last July, the
British singer has allegedly been enjoying the
attentions of Formula 1 ace Lewis Hamilton. The
pair have been friends for some time in
November, Lewis was a guest at Ritas 25th
birthday party, and last month they were seen
dining at Mr Chows in Londons exclusive
Knightsbridge. But the gossip stepped up a gear
when the twosome were snapped getting irty
in Montenegro, enjoying a racy waterght on the
deck of Ritas holiday home. At one point Lewis,
31 who had joined Rita and her family for the
sunshine break cheekily sprayed the bikiniclad stars bottom with a hose!
After ying back to the UK on his private jet,
they were later pictured looking inseparable,
as Lewis, whos rumoured to have sought Ritas
advice on starting a music career, celebrated his
fourth British Grand Prix win (see page 32).
It was only last year that Rita confessed
her hopes for nding Mr Right. Im afraid of
being alone, she said, adding: Im not
embarrassed to admit that. I just hope its
not a never-ending cycle.
But with her career going from strength to
strength, its a wonder Rita has time for dating
at all! Having signed a new deal with Atlantic
Records, the I Will Never Let You Down star
conrmed she has already started recording
the follow-up to her 2012 debut album Ora,
saying: Oh my God, Im so, so excited!
Then theres her upcoming appearance in
erotic thriller Fifty Shades Darker, a rumoured
role in the new Flash movie, designing a range
for Adidas Originals and being a face of Rimmel

London cosmetics.
However, success has
come at a price. After
lming her latest Tezenis
underwear campaign,
Rita was hospitalised for
exhaustion and posted a
sele from her bed, wired
up to a drip.
In addition, her recent
ordeal as a witness at
the trial of burglar Charaf
Elmoudden who was
found guilty of breaking
into her house last year
while she and her older
sister Elena were sleeping
has no doubt added
to her stress. But the
jet-setting singer, whos
spending the summer in
New York, insists that her
non-stop schedule keeps
me occupied and out
of trouble.
Catching up with the
bubbly pop star at the
launch of Coca-Cola Zero
Sugar, Rita couldnt
be friendlier or more professional. Here, the
former X Factor judge shares her beauty
secrets, sweetest qualities and the key to her
unique style
Whats the biggest inspiration for your music?
Just being true to myself and my roots and
making music that reects my personality.
You have such a distinctive fashion sense
what are your style secrets?
I just dont follow any
rules. I wear whatever I feel
comfortable in that day.
Do you have any hair or
beauty tricks?

I have a few beauty

products that I love
to use, but mainly its
drinking lots water, and
always using a lip liner
with a red lip.
Are you a girlie girl
or a tomboy?
It depends where I am
and what Im doing.
Sometimes its great
just to wear a pair of
baggy jeans and T-shirt
and be a total tomboy.
You feel like you can
be more relaxed and
run around. But then
I love dressing up and
getting all glam. Thats
the moment I feel like
a real girlie girl, getting
nails done, hair done
and wearing a beautiful
dress. Im lucky that
I get to wear so many
amazing dresses.
Whats your holiday
style relaxed or adventurous?
I just love to chill on holidays. Im always doing a
hundred different things for work, so when I go
on holiday I just like to relax.
Youre rumoured to be starring in the new
Flash lm. If you were a superhero, what
would be your special power?
Either to be invisible or have immortality.
What might your fans be surprised to know
about you?
People always seem to be surprised to know
Im left-handed.
Youre the face of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. How
long have you been a fan?
Ever since I was young. I always ask for CocaCola on my rider and I love the fact that the
new Coca-Cola Zero Sugar tastes just like
the real thing.
How do you drink yours?
If I have lipstick on, then denitely through a
straw! If Im not on the move then I pour it into a
glass with ice. I dont need lemon or lime.

lliott Wright has plenty to smile about

right now. Not only did the 35-year-old
former TOWIE star recently announce his
engagement to girlfriend Sadie Stuart,
hes also bagged his own TV show, Elliott Wright:
Playa In Marbella. The show follows life at Elliotts
new restaurant, Olivias La Cala, in Marbella.
When we caught up with the duo for an exclusive
chat last week, they seemed seriously loved up.
Hunky Elliott has two children Elliott, nine,
and Olivia, six with his former wife Joanne
McGuinness, but it appears hes met a future
Mrs Wright in Sadie, 24. Here, the couple chat
about fending off rival women, lming in the
shower and why Elliott is heartbroken at living
apart from his two children
Tell us about your new show, Elliott how
does it compare to TOWIE?
Its completely different. This is shot more like a
documentary so you see the real me as a
businessman, with my kids, with my mum and
dad and my ance. I had two camera teams on
me 17 hours a day. Its very intense, but it was fun.
How did the children nd the lming?
They loved it. My little girl is a real character
we denitely have an actress on the cards. Ive
moved back to Spain and theyve moved to
Ireland its one of the hardest things being apart
from them. Saying goodbye to them is hard and
getting on a plane without them is very lonely.
Sadie, how did you feel about coming
on the show?
I was very easy-going about it. Ive never done
anything like this before but I loved every minute.
Elliott: It helped that the crew were amazing,
they become your best friends because Im in the
shower and theyre in my face the whole time.
Did you propose on camera, Elliott?
Youll have to wait and see! I cant give too much
away in terms of how I did it because it is shown
in the shows nal episode, but I made sure it
was really special.
Whats the ring like?
Elliott: I chose a heart diamond because I know
thats what Sadie has always wanted.

When are you planning to tie the knot?
We havent planned anything yet, but we know
we denitely want to get married next year. We
went over the guest list and with family alone its
200 people, so it looks like itll be a big wedding.
Where will you get married?
Elliott: I think we would like to do it in Spain.
Sadie wants to do it in England. Im easy, I dont
really mind. Weve been so busy with lming and
now that everything is nished were going to sit
down and make a concrete decision.
Would you have the wedding
on camera?
Elliott: I can assure you now,
theyre denitely not getting it
[laughs]! Sadie said shed do
it Kim [Kardashian] and Kanye
[West] style, with the run up to
the wedding being lmed.
You work in the restaurant
together did mixing
business with pleasure put a
strain on the relationship?
Elliott: No, she tells me what
to do! It was strange because
I met Sadie before I opened the restaurant. If
anything, the reason I proposed is because of
the way she deals with me when Im in there.
Shes very supportive.
Were you worried about putting your
relationship in the spotlight, like your cousin
Mark Wright and his wife Michelle Keegan?
Sadie: Not really. We felt quite strong as a couple
and dont let things get in the way of that.
Elliott: You know whether your relationship is
strong or not being in the spotlight doesnt
matter. As a couple you know whats going on
and I think thats probably the same as Mark

Did you ask Mark

to come on the
show?
Hes been so busy
so I havent spoken
to him. He came
out for my opening
party with Michelle
but I havent seen
him since. Ive
been busy in Spain, Michelle has been in South
Africa and Mark is busy with what hes doing. Jess
[Wright] made an appearance on the show.
Do you still get women throwing
themselves at you?
I have some days when Ive got 260 people in
the restaurant and 250 of them are women. Its
nice but crazy, especially when the cocktails are
ying and everyone is up dancing. People know
Im with Sadie and most women are respectful,
but some girls cant help but grab and have a
little feel.
What would you do if they overstepped the
mark, Sadie?
I know he wouldnt allow it. Im not threatened. I
know were together and hes put a ring on it.
Do you get on with Elliotts
children?
Aww yes, absolutely.
Will you have kids of your own
one day?
Sadie: I would like to think
so, yes.
Have you thought about going
back to TOWIE in the future?
I think its rude to say no. I
did enjoy TOWIE, but it was a
massive decision for me to leave.
I left to take on this restaurant. It
was a huge gamble but Ive done it. Ive been a
restaurateur for 15 years so its not something I
havent done before. It was a massive challenge
and Ive done it and on the back of it Ive got
my own show! Its something I always wanted
and I always get what I want.
It was reported that you red more than 100
people within a year are you a tough boss?
I have got very high standards and Im
demanding because Im driven. When I opened
up my restaurant, people associated me
with reality TV and didnt know Id been a
restaurateur before. I had a lot of people coming

in thinking they could muck about. Ive put my

whole life into it, Ive spent a lot of money and
I cant afford to go skint. Ive got to get things
right and if it hasnt been right then Ive had to let
people go. I have been a bit brutal, I suppose.
Is it hard to nd the time for date nights?
Sadie: We tend to go out at least once a week
and have a date night. I do demand that we go
out outside of Olivias!
Elliott: My argument is, Ive got the best
restaurant on the coast, what more do you want?!
It does get a bit on top of you and it does get
intense. You need to take time away sometimes.
Did you have your rst date at the restaurant?
Sadie: We met before the restaurant opened.
Elliott: I told her to meet me to collect some
tickets I had, but I never actually had them. So I
told her she had to meet me again!
What was your rst date like?
Sadie: It was lunch on the beach. I had my
sunglasses on because I was sweating hot and
hungover and the next minute he comes over and
just takes my glasses off. I was like, oh my God!
Elliott: I wanted to look at her eyes.
Are there any other people on TOWIE that you
want to come out to the restaurant?
Im very relaxed, you know. I think everyone is
quite busy. Ive taken a massive step back. I
havent disconnected from everyone, though.
Mario [Falcone] has been out we talk a lot. I talk
to most of them to be honest with you.

Not really, other than Jess. Dont get me wrong,
were friendly, but I wouldnt text them or
anything. Theyre lovely girls and they all really

Have you met Elliotts former girlfriend,
Chloe Sims?
No, I havent been introduced to her.
Are you on good terms, Elliott?
I havent seen her. The last time we spoke was
when she was in Marbella. Its in the past.
Who would be your dream celebrity to walk
through the door?
Elliott: I would love David Beckham because
hes an Essex boy.
Sadie: Victorias mum has a place in Marbella!
Would he get a free glass of champagne?
Elliott: Are you having a laugh? Youve got to
think about the prots! He likes pie and mash so I
might have to put that on the winter menu.
How much do you think Nanny Pat would have
loved to have been on the show?
God bless her. I miss Pat. We were lucky enough
that she got to see the restaurant. Its nice
memories. She used to have a cup of tea at the

Carly Hope has been rather unlucky in
love since joining the soap last year, but
things are nally looking up for the
feisty blonde. After conding in Marlon Dingle
(Mark Charnock) about the tragic loss of her
baby son Billy, the pair grow increasingly close
until temptation becomes too much and they
end up in bed together!
OK! meets Gemma to discuss her exciting
new storyline in the grounds of Harewood
House, a beautiful country manor in West
Yorkshire where some of the soap is lmed. The
tness-mad star credits her personal trainer
boyfriend Olly Foster for her enviable gure.
They rst met in the summer of 2013 when she
hired him to help her get in shape and have
been dating for two and a half years. Just last
year, Gemma told OK!: After nishing training I
missed him and realised I liked him more than as
a friend. We moved in together a year or so later.
Here, the former Hollyoaks star, 31, who
previously dated footballer Cristiano Ronaldo,
opens up about kissing scenes and the secret to
her glowing complexion
Do you feel like youve settled in at Emmerdale?
Yeah, its gone very quick, which is a good sign.
Alex Carter who used to play my brother on
Hollyoaks and would also play my brother if he
returned to Emmerdale told me before I joined
that its such a lovely place to work, and he
wasnt wrong.
Do you and the other members of the cast
have nights out together?
We regularly go out for dinner. The other night
we were at Charley Webbs.

Tell us about Carlys new romance with

Marlon
When I had the meeting with Kate [Oates,
Emmerdales former producer] she said it was
between Marlon, Pete Barton or Andy Sugden.
I chose Marlon because Pete and Andy are too
obvious. She has a ready-made family with
Marlon. Hes the only one who knows about
Billy and theres genuine affection, love and
feelings there.
Is it strange doing kissing scenes with Mark?
It was ne. Scenes
like that always
look so romantic,

I had to get loads of chewing

gum and brush my teeth,

but youve got loads of people watching you, a

director shouting and make-up people wiping
lip gloss off him! I used to get so nervous but the

It must be fun working with seven-yearold Amelia Flanagan, who plays Marlons
daughter April Windsor
Yes! Shes like a 28 year old. Shes spot-on with
her lines and sometimes shell pick me up on
what Ive done wrong. When you work with
children you often think, this is why I have dogs!
But with Amelia its different you can
have a proper conversation her.
Does working with kids make you
feel broody?
No! When I see the Dingles dog, Ale,
Im literally all over him. Ive got two
dogs myself ones a spaniel and the
other is a cross between a spaniel and
a poodle. Id have more but I havent
got the space! OK!

no doubt hell be doing something
amazing. It made me think about what to do
for Parker when he turns three on October
18. Normally we just have people over to our
house but hes getting to that age where hes
interacting a lot with kids at nursery so well
probably take him and some of his friends to
soft play or somewhere they can go a bit
crazy for a couple of hours!

ast weekend was our

friends Rick and
Michaelas wedding on
Lake Maggiore in Italy,
which Wayne and I went to
without the kids. On the rst
night they had a rooftop pool
party [far right], then there
was a chilled day and I woke
up to eat breakfast at 9am
then went back to sleep until
1pm. I never have lie-ins and
Parker has been getting up at
4am so I was shattered!
The wedding was lovely
and ridiculously hot! We all
started drinking champagne
from 2pm and we left at 1am
so it was a long day. I paced
myself, luckily! People were
like: You cant leave now! But
we had to get an early ight
back the next morning to
Portugal to see the kids.
Michaela did a spray tan for
me when I was pregnant with
Parker and all my spray tans
when I was on Strictly Come
Dancing, so we became really
close. It was a small wedding
with only 65 guests, so we
were honoured to be invited.
Kelly Brook was also there, who was lovely.
We had a nice chat but we werent on the
same table and she left earlier than us.

also worth taking time to pop into the
Es Baluard Museum to view modern
works of art from the likes of Picasso, Dal
and Mir before stopping for lunch at the
rooftop caf overlooking the marina.
Hire a bike and cycle east from the
cathedral along the bay to the chic Portixol

marina and stop off for a coffee at one of the

seafront cafs. Or hop on an open-top bus and
head up the pine-clad hill to Bellver Castle and
admire the city views.

If youre fan of Camper, Zara, Mango and

Massimo Dutti, youll nd all these Spanish
brands in Palma. Most of the designer and High
Street stores can be found along the tree-lined
Passeig des Born or Avenida Jaume III, while

Whats the best place

youve been for work?
When I was a reporter
in Scotland for TV-am
back in the 80s, I went to
Orkney and it remains one
of my favourite places to
visit. Theres so much to
see and do. I went back in
May and the weather
was perfect. I visited
ancient ruins, did a
distillery tour, jumped
across to some of the
smaller islands and enjoyed
ferry trips, bird watching
and just chilling out.
Whos your holiday
partner in crime?
My husband [Steve Smith].
He has a real sense of
adventure. He always
has a go at speaking the
language, too even in
Thailand and India. The locals love him for
it and were always treated so well as a result.
What are your packing essentials?
I always just take hand baggage. I went to
New Zealand for two weeks with just hand
luggage! I bring comfortable walking shoes,
cotton socks and underwear, a nice dress
for dinner, binoculars, a Kindle full of books
and good headphones for the plane journey
to drown out screaming babies!
Where are you off to next?
Were off to see the orangutans in Sumatra
in October. Itll be amazing to see them in
their natural habitat, and also to visit the
sanctuaries where conservationists are
trying to get the orphaned babies back into
the wild. Its my kind of holiday, wearing
comfortable clothes, not bothering with
make-up or doing your hair and spending
the night in a tent around a campre.

pretty alternative to cannelloni.
Bertolli With Butters olive oil goodness
is ideal for making the soffritto for the
tomato sauce as well as perfect to dot
all over the top to keep the dish moist
and shiny during cooking. The simple
but delicious and lling dish combines
perfectly all three pasta avours.
1. Preheat the oven to 180C (fan oven).
2. First make the sauce. Melt Bertolli With
Butter in a pan and sweat onion, garlic
and celery on a medium heat for about a
minute. Add tomatoes with a little water
(I usually rinse out the tomato cans here
I put in a can of water). Add basil, a little
salt, cover with a lid and leave to simmer
gently for about 20 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, make the lling. Combine all
lling ingredients, season with a little salt
and pepper. Place in a piping bag and ll
each pasta cone.
4. Line an ovenproof dish (large enough
to t the cones) with about half of the
tomato sauce. Arrange lled pasta cones
over and spoon remaining tomato sauce
on top with some grated Parmesan and
dot with Bertolli With Butter. Cover with
foil and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
5. Remove the foil and continue to bake for
a further 7 minutes.
6. Remove from the oven, leave to rest for
a couple of minutes, then serve.

chopped

O400g small pasta cones

his simple, delicious recipe is

my daughter Chloes favourite
pasta dish. Pancetta adds a
nice avour to the broccoli but you
can omit if you prefer or if cooking
for vegetarians. For an extra kick,
add some freshly chopped red chilli
with the garlic. Bertolli With Butter is
perfect for sweating as well as adding
creaminess to the sauce. The ridges
of the cone-shaped pasta perfectly
hold the creamy sauce and the butter
adds shine to the at surfaces.
1. Grill or oven-bake the pancetta slices
until crispy but not burnt and set aside.

2. Cook the broccoli orets until

tender. Drain and set aside. Melt
Bertolli With Butter in a large frying
pan and on a medium heat sweat
chopped pancetta for a minute, add
garlic and sweat for a further minute.
Add the broccoli with a couple of
ladles of the cooking water and cook
for a couple of minutes. Remove
from the heat and blend to a smooth
consistency, adding a little salt.
3. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in boiling
slightly salted water until al dente.
4. Press the mixture into the tin
using the back of a spatula or

wooden spoon, then chill in the

fridge for at least two hours to set.
5. Return the blended broccoli sauce
to the frying pan, drain the pasta and
over a low heat, toss well together
with a little cooking water and a knob
of Bertolli With Butter to add shine.
Serve immediately topped with crispy
pancetta and grated Parmesan. OK!

the Spa Brasserie. Our starter of
Whitby crab (10) followed by lamb
served four ways with morels and

Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor
were in the rst ushes of romance
when OK! spoke to them back in 2011
aboard a boat sailing down the Thames.
The pair told us all about getting together.
We rst hooked up about ve years ago, but
nothing came of it, Hugo said. Then we both
had questionable boyfriends and girlfriends
but its all worked out now.
A clearly smitten 21-year-old Millie
added: I love Hugos looks and hes so
caring, he makes me feel safe. And Millies
feelings were returned by her handsome
boyfriend, with her telling us the L word had
been exchanged and theyd discussed their
future. Weve both said we
can see us being together for a
long time, Millie revealed.
The pair split just a few
months after our shoot, when
a then 25-year-old Hugo kissed
Millies BFF Rosie Fortescue
and the early warning signs
were there about a irtation
between Rosie and Hugo on
the day of our shoot, with Mille
saying: I did worry about Rosie,
but I dont now shes had her
turn and missed it.

best qualities on the day, with Hugo telling
us: Millie is incredibly understanding, she
gets me, to which his girlfriend responded:
Do you think Im a pushover then?
Hugo also dismissed our suggestions
of marriage, saying: Im far too young to
be getting married and Id be adverse to
marriage. And raising an issue that may
well be the source of an argument in the
future, Millie said to Hugo: Youd want a
Catholic wedding and Im not religious, so
that would be a problem.
Since leaving Made In Chelsea, Hugo
has gone on to establish the successful
sunglasses brand Taylor Morris, while Millie
has created an eponymous
fashion line a well as
rebranding herself as a
tness and health expert. The
pair rekindled their romance
just weeks after Millies
divorce from Professor Green
was conrmed in May this
year and Millie recently told
us that shes more content
