Watercolor work

Shawn Hickox was first inspired by his

mother, Norma Hickox, who was an amazing
watercolorist. It was this early introduction
to the arts that would compel Shawn toward
a creative life.
From the age of 19, Shawn worked for several
sign companies, and eventually started his
own sign-making business where he would
master design, hand-lettering, sand-blasting, carving, gold-leafing,
and adding that much-needed artistic touch to the world of commercial signage.
In 2011 Shawn retired from the sign business to focus on his artwork. His strikingly original pieces and commissioned artwork
can be found in many private collections.
