INTRODUCTION OF BUSINESS
Background: Bath towels are woven pieces of fabric either cotton or cotton-polyester that are used
to absorb moisture on the body after bathing. Bath towels are often sold in a set with face towels and
wash cloths and are always the largest of the three towels. Bath towels are generally woven with a
loop or pile that is soft and absorbent and is thus used to wick the water away from the body. Special
looms called dobby looms are used to make this cotton pile.
Bath towels are generally of a single color but may be decorated with machine-sewn embroidery,
woven in fancy jacquard patterns (pre-determined computer program driven designs) or even printed
in stripes. Since towels are exposed to much water and are washed on hot-water wash settings
more frequently than other textiles, printed towels may not retain their pattern very long. Most towels
have a two selvage edges or finished woven edges along the sides and are hemmed (cut and sewn
down) at the top and bottom. Some toweling manufacturers produce the yarn used for the toweling,
weave the towels, dye them, cut and sew hems, and ready them for distribution. Others purchase
the yarn already spun from other wholesalers and only weave the toweling.
Raw Materials: Raw materials include cotton and polyester, depending on the composition of the
towel in production. Some towel factories purchase the primary raw material, cotton, in 500 lb. (227
kg) bales and spin them with synthetics in order to get the type of yarn they need for production.
However, some factories purchase the yarn from a supplier. These yarn spools of cotton-polyester
blend yarn are purchased in huge quantities in 7.5 lb. (3.4 kg) spools of yarn. A single spool of yarn
unravels to 66,000 yd. (60,324 m) of thread.
Design: Most towels are not specially designed in complex patterns. The vast majority is simple
terry towels woven on dobby looms with loop piles, sewn edges at top and bottom. Sizes vary as do
colors depending on the order. Increasingly, white or stock towels are sent to wholesalers or others

to decorate with computer-driven embroidery or decorate with applique fabric or decoration. This
occurs in a different location and is often done by another company.

towels, beach towels, kitchen napkins, ban mops for home use, international use and other
purposes. Our product is available in all sizes, all shapes, all colors as per demand.

marketing strategy which they targeting are B2B marketing strategy.

ENTREPRENEURIAL QUALITIES Mr. Muhammad Usman Farooqi is basically the CEO of the
company Mehar Ali Terry Towel. So they faces many up and down. But report do not shows what
was the basic problem and why they survive financially. In 2007 the company face lacking of labor
force. The company faces loosing of sponsors due to quality and sales crises. So the Muhammad
Usman Farooqi implies leadership qualities and introducing innovative idea for betterment and in
benefits of the establishment. So unavailability of labors problem was the cause of external force,
issues or hands which they resolve by coordinating from different company in this area and he uses
their personal relation and he uses communication skilled and slowly to recovered with passage of
time. Later he also took a step for training of their employees. To increase the productivity of worker
he try to motivated their employees and filling the gap of coordination between lower and middle
level manager as well as worker by using different tools and technique but he get a minor success.
The employees can not coordinate by these tools success fully. He re-energized the different reward
system which rise-up the motivational level of their employees. Further he give some job incentive.
The second thing that i want to discussed here that was the quality of the product and he was
already done B.E IN TEXTILED so he has all the technical knowledge about textile and managing all
available resources in the improvement of quality. The third thing was sales, he was MBA in
marketing so they uses their different marketing planning and strategy to sales their product, to
attack the sponsor and investor. He also improve supply chain of company and improve their
relation with the policies of sales. So in last, i will say that i have just summarizing and showing the
relation b/w company and Mr Usman and that was the successful result.
CONCLUSION The fiber content and construction of terry towels plus every step of the production
provide terry towel with features that serves its end use performance. In the management literatures,
the new trends in terry towel markets are stated such as new spinning technologies, new fibers or
fiber blends. Above discussed research related to various technological developments of terry looms
as well as related to the effect of chemical and mechanical process parameters on functional
properties of towels has revealed that softer and high water absorbent towels can be manufactured
by employing variety of methods. Many researchers studied the effect of these factors on functional

properties of towels. Low twist yarn when used in pile warp, produces softer and better water
absorbent towels.
