Activity Hour Plan

Class: (2 BCA B)
Time Period: November 2016 March 2017
Objective:
1. To enable the students to acquire a set of skills, in addition to the
subject and domain knowledge gained during the three years of BCA
course.
2. To provide an opportunity for the students to showcase and share their
skill set with their peers as well as to help their peers to identify their
talents.

Rules & Regulations:

1. The whole class will be divided into 6 houses. Each individual house
comprises of Ten to Eleven members and every house is assigned a name.
Eg. Amethyst, Amber, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz

Activity hour happens twice a week (Monday & Saturday) and individual
houses should take turns in organizing and conducting the activities.
When one house is organizing, the remaining 5 houses will be
participating.
On each Activity hour, a different activity can be conducted.
The organizing house is deemed to be responsible for deciding, drafting
and communicating:
The rules and regulations for each activity.
Code of conduct for the participants.
Ensuring that each member of the organizing and participating house, takes
part in the activity conducted on a particular activity hour.
Designing the resource person evaluating procedure, parameters,
evaluation sheet etc.
Selecting and verifying the relevance of the topics.
Tracking the score and updating the points for various houses.
On the last activity day of this semester, winners will be rewarded with a
token of appreciation.
Resource persons for each activity are required to submit a document
containing the following details for the activity, they are in-charge of.
a. Objective of conducting the activity
b. Requirements related to the number of participants, materials etc.,
c. In the case of activities having hands-on-sessions, kindly specify the
software/hardware requirements (eg. For Ethical Hacking, Android
App development, coding skills enhancement etc.)
d. Methodology followed to conduct the activity.

i. For eg., in the case of the activity, Coding, there are four
persons. What is the role of each resource person?
ii. How are you planning to conduct the activity?
iii. Are you conducting the activity in groups or will you be
addressing the entire class?
iv. A brief overview of the topics that will be discussed as part of
the activity.
