He wanted privacy to instruct disciples about Gods redemption plan
Son of Man = messianic title of divinity and humanity (Dan 7:13-14)

Progressive revelation from Genesis to Rev i.e.
Genesis 3:15 = the basic promise of the seed who will crush the serpent
Deut 8:15 = God will send another prophet like Moses (Jesus)
Isaiah 9:6-7 = presents the king born in line of David, mighty God
Isaiah 53:11 = the suffering servant who takes our iniquities
Psalm 22 = the crucifixion in detail cited by Jesus on cross (Mk 15:34)
Psalm 16:10 = prophesies the resurrection of Messiah
Mark 9:30-32 = Jesus states it clearly here (and elsewhere)
Acts 13:34-39 = later on, Paul explains this resurrection to the Jews

In the house Jesus asked for a confession to further teach them
