They know from our study of JQ Adams, that Jackson

succeeded him as the 7th President. He is a Democrat.
He was the first self-made man President. (From the
lesson on the election of 1824) They know he was a
slaveholder.

We will review the PowerPoint about the basic facts

about Jackson.

The teacher will pass out the Webquest project for the
students to work on in class what they do not or are
unable to complete will be considered homework, due
tomorrow.

As the students work on the webquest, the teacher will

move around the class answering any questions and
checking to be sure the students are on task. During
the last ten minutes of class, the teacher and students
will answer some of the more difficult Webquest
questions.

Tomorrow we will discover what was happening in N.C.

during the 1820s through the first part of the Jackson

administration.

Orleans
