listening Activity # 1: Listen for the hidden words


In this activity, the teacher will ask students to sit in a circle shape.
After the students siting, the teacher will start the activity by give
the students how is near to her a word or sentence whispering so
the rest of the students will not hear her. The student who hear the
words should till it to the students who is near to her. And that
moving from students until the word reach the last students in the
circle. Then the last student will till the word loudly and the rest of
the class will know if its correct or not. This can be used at age of
8 or above, because they will understand the instruction of this
activity easier . This promotes listening because the students will
hear the word from their partner and will try to listen carefully to
know how to pronouns it for her partner . The teacher should
make the words or sentence difficult while they play this activity ,
so that students cannot memorize the words or sentence and they
will try harder to catch them.

Objectives of activity: at the end of the activity the students will


be able to recognize the word and sentences by listen it .
Purpose of activity: focused on the listen skills that impact to
students by concentrate to what they will listen

Teacher instructions: the teacher will give the student clear


instruction to make the activity easy which help them to improve
their listen skills. For example, she will apply an example for them
before she starts the activity.

listening Activity #2: Listen for the word

In this activity, the teacher will show to the student a song that
have a word that they learnt last lesson. The students will write the
words when they hear it in their notebooks. The focus of the
activity is that the students hear the words and write the words
correctly and focusing on spelling correctly. This can be used at
age of 6 because they will recognize the activity easily. This
activity support the listening skills because the students will try to
focus on what they hear to catch the word that they knew . The
teacher can make this activity harder by let them listen to the song
once or make the song faster.

Objectives of activity: By the end of the lesson, the students will


be able to identify the words and practice their listen skills
Purpose of activity: to know how to concentrate on the word that
the student hear and distinguish it from the whole song
Teacher instructions: the teacher will ask student first to proper
themselves to listen to the song by cleaning their desks and open
their note book . then she will check the voice if it's clear. Then she
will start the activity. That preparation will make the student focus
on what they will listen.

listening Activity #3: Describe the words

In this activity, the teacher will give the students pictures related to
the vocabulary that they learnt. The students will work as a pair.
The students A will see the picture and try to describe it without
tilling the main word. Students B will listen to the word and try to
write the main word by hearing the discretion. The focus of the
activity is that the students hear the discretion and try to memorize
the word to write it. This can be used at age of 6 and above. This
encourage listening skills because the students will hear the
discretion of the word and try to write the correct word . The
teacher should give the student instruction and observe students
to dont make any miss in the class .

Objectives of activity: By the end of the lesson the students will


be able to recognize the word by hear the discretion
Purpose of activity: the student will improve their listen skills by
hearing the discretion of the word
Teacher instructions: the teacher will give student clear
instruction to conroll the class. For example, tell the students the
quiest pair will have extra points.

listening Activity #4: Vowel discrimination

In this activity, the teacher will give students to different card with
two different color. For example red and blue . The teacher will
teach student vowel by using this card. She will say the words and
they should distinguish the vowel on the word. When the students
hear the vowel they raise the red card. When the student dont
hear the vowel , they raise the blue card. The students will try to
focus on the word that they hear to know which card they should
raise. The focus of the activity is that the students hear the words
and raise the correct card. This can be used at any age, also, it is
easier with grade one and above. This support listening skills
because the students will focus on their listing abilities to find the
right answer. The teacher should use a hard word to let student
achieve a higher level.

Objectives of activity: By the end of the lesson, the student will


be able to recognize the vowel .
Purpose of activity: The teacher will focus on building listing
skills to make students distinguish the vowel
Teacher instructions: the teacher will ask student to proper
themselves and focus on her . she will raise her voice to make it
clear while she says the word.

listening Activity #5: Following Directions


In this activity, the teacher will divide the student to pairs with
student A and student B . she will teach student the direction. The
teacher will ask student A to give the student B the orders to where
she goes. For example, Student A will ask student B to go to the
north then south. The students will follow the teacher instruction to
achieve the activity . The focus of the activity is that the students
hear the order and follow it. This can be used at age 10, although it
is easier with grade 5 and above. This promotes listening because
the students must hear the instruction from her partner.

Objectives of activity: by the end of the lesson, the student will


be able to memorize the directions and knows the new vocab that
related to the lesson.
Purpose of activity: make students accustomed with direction by
applying it
Teacher instructions: the teacher will give student clear
instruction to make it easy in the beginning . then she will make it
harder to let student challenge themselves

Specking Activity #1: Discussing the issue

In this activity, the teacher will divide the students to five groups.
She will give each group a paper have an issue. The students will
discussing about the issue and trying to find the solution. Then the
whole class will share about this issue and different solution. The
focus of the activity is that the students discus and use the
language to practice it. . This can be used at age of 12 and above.
In addition, it is easier with grade six and above. This promotes
speaking because the students will try to use different word that
related to the issue that they have. The teacher can use different
issues for different topics to let students use variety of vocab which
help them to enhances their language ,vocabulary and concepts
that they have .

Objectives of activity: By the end of the lesson , the students will


be able to know how to use the vocabulary while they speaking
Purpose of activity: to let students practice on the language and
knows how to use it.
Teacher instructions: the teacher will gives students clear
instruction to control the class because they will speak a lot so
they need to use only English language. Specially for the students
who is the English is the second language.

In this activity, the teacher will ask group of students to leave the
classroom for a while. The rest of the class will decide about some
events that will happen. Just for fun. For example, three of the
students will get married in April. Then when the students come
back. The teacher will ask them to guess what will happen in the
April. The students should answer her by using full sentences. The
focus of the activity is that the students will use their language to
guess about what will happen in the April. The teacher will help
them by correct their sentences or vocabulary. This can be used to
students with age of 13 and above. This promotes speaking skills
because the students will guessing by using language and try to
use it correctly. The teacher should give students an instruction
about being quiet to achieve the aim of this activity.

Objectives of activity: by the end of the lesson, the students will


be able to use the language and correct their mistake while they
speck.
Purpose of activity: to give the student opportunity to practice
their specking skills by guessing.
Teacher instructions: The teacher will give the students a strict
rule to manage the classroom while the students speaking to make
them concentrate on their speaking skills.

speaking Activity #3: One sentence story


In this activity, the teacher will ask students to create a story by let
each students complete the story from adding one sentence. The
teacher will start the story and each student will add some
sentences to create the story. For example. The teacher will say "
Maryam is a girls how live with her grandmother." Then, student A
complete" she is thinking about invite her friend to her house ".
Then the student B complete the story ..etc. That story will move to
all students. The great thing about this activity that all students will
concentrate because they will add their sentence to complete the
story.
The focus of the activity is that the students will try to
speak correctly and use their language to make a sentences. This
activity is suitable for students who are above 10 years . This
promotes speaking abilities because the students will try to speak
correctly to achieve the purpose of the activity.

Objectives of activity: By the end of the lesson, the students will


be able to use their language and focus on speaking skills.
Purpose of activity: make students to practice and improve their
language by speaking and creating the story.
Teacher instructions: the teacher will ask students to set in circle
shape to support the activity rules and manage the classroom.

Speaking Activity #4: Interviews

In this activity, the teacher will ask students to make a job interview
or using any topic for the students who set in front of them. The
students will make an interview for their partners and ask them
question and add information if they want. The focus of the activity
is that the students will focus on using their speaking skills
correctly. This activity is appropriate for students who are 13 years
and above. This activity assist to improve speaking skills because
the students will try to use their language for answering the
questions and add the information.

Objectives of activity: At the end of the lesson, the students will


be able to asking questions and know the concepts that helping
them in their speaking skills.
Purpose of activity: to make the students develop their speaking
abilities by practice it.
Teacher instructions: the teacher will ask students to focus with
their partners and respond to them by using the correct language.

Speaking Activity #5: Reporting

In this activity, the teacher will ask students to report about what
they have been read last day on the magazine or newspaper . The
students will report about what they find as the most interesting
news to their friend. The focus of the activity is that the students
will report by using their own sentence not reading from the articles
that they read from it. This can be used at age of 10, and that will
be easier with grade 5 and above. This support speaking skills
because the students will try to focus on how they reporting by
speaking correctly. The teacher can ask students questions and
share the ideas with the rest of the class which make them
motivate to add their opinions.

Objectives of activity : by the end of the lesson , the students will


be able to recognize who to report by using their language.
Purpose of activity: to practice using the language by reporting
which develop their speaking skills.

other students participate with her and that helping to improving

App for Speaking Activity: Spoken English


This app is called Spoken English. It has different level. Each level
became harder than previous one. It have a character that talk with
you. For example, if you tap on it , it will say hello!. Then you will
repeat after it to practice your speaking skills. It helps students to
improve their specking skills. The teacher can use it in the
classroom in the middle of the class at a transformation or
presentation stage. Its suitable for all ages which make it easy for
students to use.
Objectives of activity: By the end of this activity the student will
be able to recognize the concepts by repeating the sentences and
words to improve speaking skills.
Purpose of activity: to practice the specking skills by repeat the
words or sentences .
How Teacher can use it: teacher make a groups and let them
practice then test them with what they learnt.

The name of this app is Children Song. This app have different
songs. The teacher can use this songs to let student practice on
speaking by sing the song correctly. For example, let students as a
group practice on sing the song and make a competition between
groups to see which group will sing it correctly. The App is fit for
student who are 3 years old and above. Even for adults learner.
This encourage students to know how to pronounce the sentences
and words correctly.

Objectives of activity: By the end of this activity the student will


be able to sing the song correctly by practice it to improve
speaking skills.
Purpose of activity: to practice their specking abilities by
knowing how to pronounce the words .

This App called Reader. The app have a sentence and words
,when the students tap on it , the sentences or words will be read
for you. Its assist teachers to support their listening lesson by use
this up as a worming up or at the end of the class. That will helps
you as a teacher improve their listing skills. In addition, these
sentences or words have a special color which make the student
recognize it . This App is suitable for students from 5 years and
above which gives the teacher the opportunity to use it because it
is easy to use.
Objectives of activity: By the end of this activity the student will
be able to recognize the sentences and the words by listen it to
improve their listening skills.
Purpose of activity: to use their listening skills by hear the words
and sentences .
How Teacher can use it: teacher can use this App as a worming

This App is called Fun English. It haves different sections for


different topics. For example, it have difference topics include
animals, color, food..etc. The teacher can use this Apps in her
speaking lesson. She can use it by ask the student to spell the
words . That will teach the students how to spell and pronounce
the words. She can make a competitions between groups to
motivate them to speak . It support her lesson plan in a reflection
stage or after teach them the words. This App is suitable for
students who is above 3 years. Its too easy to use for children.

Objectives of activity: By the end of this activity the student will


be able to identify the concepts by spell the words to improve
speaking skills.
Purpose of activity: to practice the specking skills by pronounce
the words.
How Teacher can use it: teacher can use it as a worming up or
prepare students for the lesson or in a reflection stage to test them

This App called Read Me. The app have a different stories. The
teacher can choose the story that support her needs and lesson.
To make the stories read for student just click to "listen to the book
being read to you" bottom. Then she can make the students listen
to the story by themselves. This app can be used for listing lesson.
Its improve their listening skills . Also, encourage students to
develop their listing skills in fun way.

Objectives of activity: At the end of this activity the student will


be able to focus on the series of events by using their listening
skills.
Purpose of activity: to practice their listening abilities by hearing
the story .
How Teacher can use it: teacher can gives the student their own
space to practice their listening skills by hear the story by
