Praise and thanksgiving writers thank God Almighty, for His blessings and mercy so
that I can finish the task Critical Book Report (CBR) by the subjects of English technique
is called "English For Electrical Technology". The writers are grateful to the lecturers
concerned father who has given guidance to us during this time.
I realize that this task is still many shortcomings, therefore I apologize if there are
errors in the writing and I also expect criticism and constructive suggestions to the
perfection of this task.
In conclusion I would like to thank you, the task Critical Book Report (CBR) that I

CHAPTER I
PRELIMINARY
A. Background
Electrical engineering is one field of engineering sciences on the application of
electricity to meet the needs of the community. Electrical engineering involves the
concept, design, development, and production of electric and electronic devices
needed by the community. Electrical engineers are professionals who play an
important role in developing and promoting high technology in the world of
computers, lasers, space exploration, telecommunications, energy, and other
applications of electronic devices and systems. Electrical engineering in collaboration
with engineers from other areas such as chemical engineering, mechanical
engineering, and civil engineering to design, develop, and assist the production of a
wide range of products and services such as systems of energy distribution, personal
computers, satellite systems, handheld radios, radar systems, cars electricity, artificial
heart, and others involving electrical and electronic components.

This book is about the basics - the very complete electrical engineering, from the
electric power system in general until the electricity transmission and distribution.
This book is very useful for faculty and students, especially in the field of electrical
engineering, because in this book explained clearly how the world's electricity. So for
the beginner or for readers who are new to the theory of electricity should read this
book because the theory here is really fundamental in the theory of electricity.

B. Summary of The Contents of The Book

At the critical task book report, I have had the opportunity to criticize the book is
titled "English For Electrical Technology". The material will be summarized in this
book only a few sections that are related to one another. The contents and summary of
each section are:
Dasar-dasar dari tenaga listrik
Tenaga listrik adalah produk dari dua kuantitas: arus dan tegangan. Kedua jumlah
dapat bervariasi terhadap waktu (listrik AC) atau dapat disimpan pada tingkat konstan
(power DC).

Kebanyakan kulkas, AC, pompa dan mesin industri menggunakan listrik AC

sedangkan kebanyakan komputer dan peralatan digital menggunakan listrik DC
(perangkat digital Anda plug ke listrik biasanya memiliki adaptor daya internal atau
eksternal untuk mengkonversi dari AC ke DC). Listrik AC memiliki keuntungan
karena mudah untuk mengubah antara tegangan dan mampu dihasilkan dan
dimanfaatkan oleh mesin tanpa sikat. Daya DC tetap satu-satunya pilihan praktis
dalam sistem digital dan dapat lebih ekonomis untuk mengirimkan jarak jauh pada
tegangan yang sangat tinggi (lihat HVDC).
Kemampuan agar mudah mengubah tegangan listrik AC itu penting karena dua
alasan: Pertama, tenaga dapat ditransmisikan jarak jauh dengan kerugian kurang pada
tegangan yang lebih tinggi. Jadi dalam sistem tenaga di mana generasi berjarak dari
beban, itu diinginkan untuk meningkatkan (kenaikan) tegangan listrik pada titik
generasi dan kemudian mundur (penurunan) tegangan dekat beban. Kedua, sering
lebih ekonomis untuk menginstal turbin yang menghasilkan tegangan yang lebih tinggi
daripada yang digunakan oleh sebagian besar peralatan, sehingga kemampuan untuk
dengan mudah mengubah tegangan berarti ketidaksesuaian antara tegangan dapat
dengan mudah dikelola.

Menyeimbangkan Jaringan Listrik

Salah satu kesulitan utama dalam sistem tenaga adalah bahwa jumlah tenaga aktif
yang dikonsumsi aktif kerugian ditambah yang hilang harus selalu sama dengan
tenaga aktif yang dihasilkan. Jika lebih banyak tenaga akan diproduksi dari
dikonsumsi frekuensi akan naik dan sebaliknya. Bahkan penyimpangan kecil dari nilai
frekuensi nominal akan merusak mesin sinkron dan peralatan lainnya. Memastikan
frekuensi konstan biasanya tugas operator sistem transmisi. Di beberapa negara
(misalnya di Uni Eropa) ini dicapai melalui pasar yang seimbang menggunakan
layanan tambahan.

Komponen Dari Sistem Tenaga

Semua sistem listrik memiliki satu atau lebih sumber tenaga. Untuk beberapa
sistem tenaga, sumber daya eksternal untuk sistem tetapi untuk orang lain itu adalah
bagian dari sistem itu sendiri - itu adalah sumber-sumber daya internal yang dibahas
dalam sisa bagian ini. listrik arus searah dapat dipasok oleh baterai, sel bahan bakar
atau sel fotovoltaik. Bolak daya saat ini biasanya disediakan oleh rotor yang berputar
dalam medan magnet dalam perangkat yang dikenal sebagai generator turbo.

Ada berbagai teknik yang digunakan untuk memutar rotor turbin, dari uap dipanaskan
menggunakan bahan bakar fosil (termasuk batubara, gas dan minyak) atau energi
nuklir, air (PLTA) dan angin (tenaga angin) jatuh.
Kecepatan di mana rotor berputar dalam kombinasi dengan jumlah kutub
generator yang menentukan frekuensi arus bolak-balik yang dihasilkan oleh generator.

DISCUSSION

A. Discussion of The Contents of The Book

In the book "English For Electrical Technology written by Mr. Wanapri
Pangaribuan and Mr. Bagoes Maulana discusses the general of electrical power
system, international system of units, generation of electrical energy, electric power
systems, electromagnetic induction, synchronous motors, transformers, a unified
representation system, air conditioning transmission and distribution, active reading
strategies, handouts-SQ4R: a clasic method for studying texts, and what is a passage in
a book.
Meanwhile, In the book "Electric Power System" written by Alexandra Von
Meier discusses the pshysics of electricity, basic of circuit analysis, AC power,
generators, loads, transmission and distribution, power flow analysis, system
performance, system operation, management, and new technology.

B. The Excellence of The Book

I think actually the book's English For Electrical technollogy good, especially
equipped with the images required by the reader. The materials discussed are also very
complete as discussed in one by one, and also has a concept or specific keywords that
given the author in each chapter. So that readers can or can afford to take things that
are important from the contents of the book. This book is also suitable for students as
guides and guidelines to increase knowledge about the basics of science in electrical in
nature are actually very needed in our life.

C. The Weakness of The Book

I think in English For Electrical Technology books written by Mr. Wanapri
Pangaribuan and Mr. Bagoes Maulana, laying or vocabulary and sentence are arranged
so raw that it is difficult to understand by the reader. And sometimes the way of
explanation of the assigned material created convoluted that makes the reader dizzy,
and also the discussion was not so quickly understood. So is the study of the theories
underlying the discussion.

CHAPTER IV
CLOSING
A. Conclusion
Basic electro engineering is a branch of electrical engineering associated with
various configurations or structures to be able to regulate voltage, power frequency,
prisoners, and the electric current. Electrical engineering or electrical engineering is
always synonymous with electrical energy, wherein energy is a form of power or
capacity produced or possessed by an object that can make things happen.
In the basis of electro technique or the basics of electrical engineering also learned
about what and how mangukur or looking for an electric current, an electric voltage or
electric potential, electric AC and DC, an electrical barriers, etc. So for the beginner or
for readers who are new to the theory of electricity should read this book because the
theory here is truly fundamental theory of electricity explained well.

B. Suggestion
In this case, me as a writer is not too much to comment, because to me a book
about English For Electrical Technology can be used as best as possible, although it
looks a lot of shortcomings. I can only suggest that deficiencies repaired books and
strengths in order to be retained. To the readers of this book are also expected
suggesting that future improvements can be maximized again.
