Learning
Objectives

Students will know how to and be able to:

-

Technology Uses

Define what energy means.

Understand how energy transfers from one place to another.
Conduct a movie on energy and how it transfers.
Utilize the information that they obtain from their research on
their movie to their daily lives.
Work with their group mates together in making the movie.

Students will use the computer and internet to research for

information and pictures to put together a movie.
Minimal Technology
-

Students can head to

the library and purchase
books on energy.
Students can take notes
or create note cards
about this topic.

Infusion of Technology
-

Students can use search

engines to locate
information on the transfer
of energy.
Students can collect
multiple of images that
have beneficial experiments
or information on this topic.

Materials

Students can also observe

videos on the internet that
are useful about the
transfer of energy to get an
idea of how to have a
movie about this topic.
Students will need pencils, notebooks, and access to a
computer/Internet.

Procedure
-

Teacher will explain the lesson about energy and the way it
transfers from one place to another in details.
Teacher will provide many examples so that the students
comprehend the lesson properly.
Teacher will demonstrate an experiment of how energy could
transfer through heat/light/sound.
Teacher will demonstrate an experiment by using a light bulb
and a battery to show how energy can be transferred through
light.
Teacher will display an experiment by using fire and wood to
show how energy is transferred through heat.
Teacher will display an experiment by using a radio or an
audio system to show how energy can be transferred through
sound.
Teacher will play an educational video so that the students
can observe and watch to further their understanding.
Students should take notes of every lesson that is presented
to them.
Students will work in groups to discuss or think of ways that
energy can be transferred.
Students will be assigned with a movie project on this topic to
present to the class.
Students should work in small groups by conducting a movie
on how energy can transfer from one place to another.
Students should provide vivid information/images on this
topic.
Students should have at least 7 movie slides and a minimal of
60 seconds for the whole movie.
Students should include references and accreditation.

Students will be evaluated by the teacher on their work.
