Activity
The learners will for groups with five members and will read the scenario below and then they will be given
10 minutes to prepare a speech.
You are the tourism ambassadors of the Philippines who are tasked to promote the best
features of the country and its overall positive image to local and foreign visitors. Your task is to
prepare and deliver a three-minute speech in a World Tourism Expo in London to convince the
participants to visit the Philippines.
After the groups performance, two representatives from another group will be assigned by your teacher to
provide feedback within three minutes based on the following questions.
1. What do you like most about the presentation?
2. How do you think can the speech be improved?

How will you relate the existence of life on the daily activities of man?
Pair Activity
Based on what the learners have learned from this lesson, they will list down ten habits for good
delivery that a speaker needs to develop.
Group Activity
1. Let the learners work with their group mates from Exercise II. Below are links to empowering
speeches delivered by inspiring people at an event organized by the nonprofit organization, TED
(Technology, Entertainment, and Design).

Rubric assessment
I. Evaluation/ Assessment
What types of rocks can be developed with the aid of heat and pressure? Prior to the previous
lesson the metamorphic rock formed from Igneous and sedimentary rock. Lets find out:
Activity
Group 1
Create a yell derived from the key concept of the lesson before the presentation of the group.
Group 2
Characterize the contact metamorphism and regional metamorphism. A yell will be presented
before the lesson.
Group 3
Give the difference between foliated and nonfoliated metamorphic rock.
Group 4
Enumerate and discuss the agents of metamorphism by creating a song.
Group 5
Evaluate the work of group 1-4 device your own rubric.
What if the temperature and pressure change from higher to lower situation, what rock
will be formed?
If the temperature remains constant, what metamorphic rock will be developed?
If you want the rock that displayed coarse texture to form platy minerals, what agents
will be necessary in order for it to happen?
True or False
o The development of foliation in a metamorphic rock is more strongly controlled by the
type of metamorphism than the composition of the parent rock.
o All metamorphism results in a change in mineral composition.
How long a rock takes to undergo metamorphism has nothing to do with what kind of
rock it will become.
