Future graduate of Southwestern Oregon Community College Nursing Program seeking to find a position

Clinical Experience
Baycrest Village Assisted Nursing Facility

Cared for a variety of patients ranging from those recovering from total hip or knee surgery
to elderly patients who were no longer competent at ADLs.

Performed patient assessments, assessed vital signs and CBGs, and assisted patients with
their ADLs.
Bay Area Hospital

Performed patient assessments, documented patient care, performed nursing interventions

as needed after assessing my assigned patient, administered medications and assisted
patients with ADLs.

Collaborated with nurses to learn and provide the best patient care possible.
Medical-Care Unit

This unit is equipped to care for any type of patient ranging from pediatrics to oncology.

Some of the patients I have cared for on this unit are a pediatric with asthma, elderly male
with a diabetic ulcer and dementia, middle aged female with peripheral vascular disease,
and an elderly man with pneumonia.
Post-Surgical Unit
This unit is specific for patients who have undergone surgery it can however if necessary
take other types of patients.
I have experienced caring for both a bilateral and unilateral post TKA patient on this floor, a
post prostatectomy patient, an elderly woman who suffered a pneumothorax, and an
elderly man with a post-surgical infection.
Rapid Evaluation Unit
This unit is designated to patients who need further testing or those with cardiac conditions.
I have cared for a patient with atrial fibrillation after a cardioversion, a number of patients
post STEMI, a few patients with GI bleeds, an elderly man with respiratory failure and a
couple comfort care patients as well.
Operating Room

I have only had one clinical rotation in the operating room where I assisted in the care of
a patient preoperatively, intraoperatively and postoperatively who was scheduled for a
gastrectomy.
Acute Psychiatric Unit
I have only experienced this unit once as well and cared for a female suffering from severe
depression with suicidal ideations.
Nursing Skills

 Assessments, medication administration via all routes except osseous, blood administration,
IV starts, management of a PICC line, chest tube maintenance and setup, colostomy care,
nasogastric tube insertion, urinary catheter insertion and care, and continuous bladder
irrigation.
