JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: QA/QC ENGINEER (Mechanical)

Qualification:
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and preferably having successfully completed
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Course.
Certified to AWS / CSWIP 3.1/ equivalent for welding inspection and ASNT Level 2(RT, PT, MT
& UT techniques),
Certified to BGAS (Painting/Coating).
Experience:
Shall have a minimum of 8 years of Construction / Maintenance / Service experience fields in
Mechanical General fields(Installation of Piping, Erection of Vessels/heavy static and rotating
equipments and also in Flow line Jobs.
He shall have minimum 05 years of quality control and inspection experience in construction
industries. Shall have worked in Oil and Gas construction industries for at least 03 years.
He shall be thoroughly familiar with Mechanical construction materials and construction
methods, testing activities, international codes and standards for Mechanical designs, construction
and testing of materials and works.
Responsibilities:
Shall be responsible for all site related Quality works to the Project Manager at site & Sr. QA/QC
Engineer / HOD at HO.
Shall be proactive in promoting and following both employers and their customers corporate
policies and practices.
Shall be competent to independently prepare the Work Procedures, Method Statements and ITPs.
Implementation of QA/QC activities including those of sub-contractors works in accordance with
approved QCP /ITPs and Procedures, method statements and other contract documents.
Shall take up routine and additional site Inspections and Surveillance.
Visit manufacturers / Sub contractors works to take up inspection at vendors premises and
recommend for improvement if applicable.
Assist QA Engineer during supplier / sub-contractor audits.

 Willing to undergo any QA / QC trainings which are viewed by the management as beneficial for
the company
Maintaining records of calibration, inspection and testing equipment.
Maintaining the latest revision of all Contract Documents, Drawings, Specifications, SPs, PRs,
ERDs, DEPs and Standards, required for Quality Assurance, Quality Control and inspection.
Witness procedures, tests and certify the results.
Preparation, Issue and follow up for successful closure of project punch lists.
Collection, scrutiny, compilation and submission of test packs and project quality handover
documents including as built drawings.
Provide sufficient feedback to Sr. QA / QC engineer on the day to day quality issues.
Recommend the HOD for any improvements which are value added for the system.
