INTRODUCCIN
El linfedema facial es una patologa poco frecuente. Su
etiologa fundamental es dermatolgica (acn roscea1-2,
aplicacin de tratamientos tpicos3, tumores cutneos4)
y congnita (neurofibromatosis5, enfermedad de
Morbihan6...).
Los tumores de cabeza y cuello, y en especial, las
tcnicas empleadas en su tratamiento (ciruga radical
con vaciamientos ganglionares y la radioterapia

CONCLUSIONES
El linfedema facial supone, a pesar de su escasa
frecuencia, un importante reto para cualquier servicio
de rehabilitacin. A las secuelas funcionales debe
aadirse la importante repercusin psicolgica que
implica una deformidad a dicho nivel.
Actualmente el tratamiento es el drenaje manual,
similar al realizado en otras localizaciones. Con l se
obtienen mejoras clnicas objetivas.
