Overpressure-underpressure safety device:

Depending on operating conditions and course of pipework at
the plant there may arise a dangerous overpressure or underpressure inside the areation and
ventilation system of chemical
storage tanks. This will happen
especially when the tanks are
being filled by using compressed
air or when a gas scrubber is
installed.

Different types:

Note:

There are two versions of the

overpressure-underpressure
saftey devices.

The nominal diameter of the

overpressure-underpressure
safety valve must no be inferior
to the nominal diameter of the
exhaust air socket of the tank.

Standard type: for installation into the exhaust air pipe of the tank
leading to the open air.

This safety device consists of a

glued casing of PVC containing
two hollow spheres of polyethlyene, placed at the aspiration and
expiration (exhaust) side each.

The overpressure-underpressure saftey device can be installed

to nearly all tanks with atmospheric pressure. It is fitted as a
glued joint from PVC, normally.
As the overpresssure- underpressure safety device is made
of chemical-resistant materials it
can be used universally.

The overpressure-under

As soon as overpressure or underpressure inside the exhaust

air pipe system will overpass thepreset response pressures, the
correspondent sphere will rise
for pressure relief. When the
pressure decreases the response threshold, the sphere will sit
back in its seat and the total areation and ventilation system is closed again.

Approved storage tanks

Options:

Version for installation into piping

systems: it will be used for media discharging corrosive gases
analogue to the standard model,
however, it is mandatory to instal
the overpressure and underpressure side into the clean air
pipe of a gas scrubber and which
has to be lead to the open air.
