Chennai Institute of technology (CIT), established with


the objective of providing quality technical education
with adequate industrial exposure, caters to the needs
of the youth with its innovative teaching methods. Mr.
P. SRIRAM, a successful first generation entrepreneur in
the metro for the past two decades and his expertise in
the industry enhanced his thirst for establishing a
technical educational institution under the banner of
Chennai Institute of Technology. CIT provides

ABOUT ATALON
ATALON founded in 2007 as a services provider for
DEWETRON Austria. Head Quarters in Chennai for
India operations, global sales and service through
ATALON Singapore, ATALON is a system integrators
and solution providers for complete range of sensors
and Instrumentation systems for
measurement
analysis in the field of Noise and vibration harshness
for automotive test and measurements and R & D Lab
setups for education institution.

ABOUT ENGINE RESEARCH CENTRE


Engine Research Centre (ERC) is established in 2014
based on MOU between CIT & ATALON to forecast
industry trends and develop modeling, simulation and
testing environments for discovering and assessing
critical engine technologies. As a multidisciplinary
centre, ERC is going to be recognized as leading
research centre in various research areas such as
engine
combustion,
emission,
performance
improvement, durability and robustness study to
support and develop young skilled engineers for future
global automotive industry. With 15 faculty members,
20 research scholars and state of the arts software and
Equipments, ERC links industry and academia for the
future requirements of the automobile industry.

Objective of the workshop:

To make the participants understand and learn the


recent technologies in engines and its emission control
techniques with different approaches in on-road & offroad vehicles. Further different types of fuel injections
techniques, performance improvements techniques
overview are virtually demonstrated. In addition engine
assembly and disassembly will be made to benchmark
the engine parts during new product development. On
successful completion, participants will
obtain
participation/ merit certificates.

domain extraction
Boundary conditions discussion
Physical setting in solver & solving
Post processing/ contour/ plots/
measuring values
