Its hard to believe that we are past the High Holidays, even
though they were so much later than usual. We celebrated the New
Year and experienced a beautiful and inspiring Day of Atonement.
Having the prayer books on the seats and more time between the
services meant a little less socializing but also somewhat less stress in
the Sanctuary. By the time this article appears, we will have already
celebrated together in the Sukkah and many will experience the joy of
restarting the Torah. And its this spirit that the Brotherhood continues
to bring the men of the congregation together.
Over the next couple of months, here are just a few of our plans:

Billiards and pizza at the Great Entertainer on November 3rd. We

will be making a special effort to bring new and younger
members to attend.

The Temple Financial Evening sponsored by the Brotherhood on

November 17th. This event will feature Bob Balopole and Rich
Polonsky.

Our annual Hanukkah party with latkes and a dreydl tournament

on December 22nd. This event always features a gourmet dinner
with plenty of food and drink.

We will also be holding a joint event with BEW during early December
and stay tuned for announcements of a Temple-side poker tournament,
the annual Rabbi Eisner golf tournament, and a host of additional
speakers.
And for those of you who just want to attend our meetings, we
hold these the second Thursday of the month, sometimes with a
speaker, sometimes with just some beer, dessert, and kibitzing. As
president, I hope that you will join us for at least one event or activity.
I guarantee that the diverse group of men we attract will surprise you.
