(Students will work in pairs)
Review what is multiplication and division:
o Ask the students in pairs to show me what the relationship between multiplication and addition is.
o Ask the students in pairs to show me how they can divide a certain number into groups.

(Start the new lesson)


Show the students an example word problem of multiplication.
Demonstrate how to solve a multiplication problem by using arrays.
Explain how to form a multiplication problem from an array.
Explain how to use the formed problem and turn it into division problem.

(Give a simple word problem)


Show the students a simple word problem and let them solve it as a group.

Students will get a set of small disks and an array grid.
Students will get 1 word problem.
Students will use the macaroni to help them solve the problem.

Reflection 1 period 3:
This lesson went very well, as well as the activities. And the materials were
prepared but I couldnt organize them in the class since there was a class
before my class and they took long to finish. If I had to do this lesson again I
will be more careful about the revision section, and make it short since it is
just a revision for what the students took previously. Also, I will make an
activity that have to make the students motivated to learn the lesson, and not
just listening, writing and then listening again. Even though the students were
doing the arrays correctly, some students didnt really understood the arrays,
so since I have a second period with them at the same day, I will revise what
they catch from this period and continue with that.
Reflection 2 period 5:
This time, the lesson went well, even though I couldnt use any activity, since I
didnt have any backup for my lesson. However, I used the students book
instead, so it didnt really effect the lessons pace. Next time, when I had to do
a lesson and the students didnt understand the lesson, I will at least prepare
2 backup activities.
