Introduction (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group


activities)

First of all, the teacher (I) will introduce herself. For example, my name Ms. Safa.
Follow teachers rules or remind the students the rules.
The teacher will engage students by show them video about the shapes. Here is the link

The teacher will make students centre to explore about which shape we will learn today.
After the exploring the teacher will say now we will see who is right by playing a video
about the shape that will learn it. (The lesson about rectangle shape). Here is the link of

The teacher will let students give her different examples from real life about the
rectangle shape. For example, the board is rectangles and she will help them, if they
need help.
They teacher will check students understanding (evaluate them) by asking them
questions and do a quick review.
The is Reggio Curriculum because the teacher make students centre and the child may
get help from the environments that he/she in it (educators and friends).

Active Engagement (group working with the teacher):

Students will touch the real rectangle and also touch the sides of the rectangle.
The teacher will let some of students draw rectangle on the board.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1).


High level activity:

15 min

Students will have white paper, sticks and glue. In this case students should make a rectangle with
these sticks, glue it and put it on the paper.
Independent Experience (small group activity 2).
Middle level activity:

Students will paint the pictures that have rectangle shape. For example, they will have different
pictures, they should paint the pictures that have rectangle shape.
Independent Experience(small group activity 3)

Low level activity:


Students will have two rectangles, the first one students will draw rectangle on the dots and the the
second one they will colour it and design it.
Explain how you are going to differentiate:
The differentiate, each group of activity will have a different topic. The teacher will mention the
different topic.

Closing:
The teacher will observe each child to check if they finish or not and, then she will close the
activity by a song of clean up clean up.

Assessment
The teacher will assess students by asking them questions and observe them while they are completing their
activities.

The lesson is Math subject and students will learn rectangle shape. In this lesson students will develop various
domains.
Describe (D):
The lesson for KG 2, it is between 5 to 7years old. The lesson will be almost after the break. The third
class. Teach students and let them understand. Also to develop students domains (physical, cognitive,
social, emotional and linguistic). Children will learn and develop their skills.
