labgrade.Questionsonthequizzeswillcomeprimarilyfromthelabexercisessincethelastquiz
butcanalsocomefromthelabexercisetobeperformedthatday.
Labworksheetswillbecompletedduringthelaboratoryperiodandwillbeturnedinattheendof
thelaboratoryexercise.Onelabworksheetscorewillbedroppedtherefore;theywillnotbe
acceptedatanyothertime.Instructorscandeductpointsfromyourworksheetgradeduetofailure
tofollowdirectionsorlackofparticipationinclass.
AlabreportwillbewrittenontheEnzymelabs.Youwillturnindifferentsectionsofyourown
individuallabreportduringandsubsequenttotheenzymelabs.Oncethegradedsectionsofyour
reporthavebeenreturnedtoyou,youwillsubmitafinalversionoftheenzymereportwhich
representsyourbesteffort.Thefinalfullversionmaybewrittenbyyourentirelabgroup.
Apracticalfinalexamwillbeadministeredduringthefinallabperiod.Thistestrequiresstudents
todemonstratePROFICIENCYinthetechnicalaspectsoflabexercisesperformedduringthe
semesterforexample:makingdilutions,usingthespectrophotometerand/orotherequipment
used,andtheabilitytointerpretresults,etc.
