Summary

When I shadowed Adam my eyes really opened before me. I couldnt believe that I was up close
and personal, doing things hands on. My thoughts were I can do this and one day I will be doing
this. Dont get me wrong I was nerves, but it was a good nerve. The highlights of my experience
were getting to check a prescription and counseling a patient. Swiping his Pharmacist card was
the funniest part. One day I will have one of my own. Something that I learned about myself I
didnt know. At one point in time I didnt know if I was going to be happy in my career but
shadowing Adam reinsured my happiness and love for pharmacy. My feelings about becoming a
Pharmacist are sometimes rocky because sometimes I feel like I will fail. If I do fail that just give
me more determination to get back up and try again until I succeed. In my thank you email I
thanked Adam for allowing me to shadow him. Also for being a great role model in my life and
teaching me the ropes and so much knowledge about what pharmacist do. My special thanks was
to Ms. Sandy Camp for even allowing me to come back into the pharmacy without her approval
none of this would be possible.

Accomplish Goals and Evaluate

I have learned a lot through this process of formulating Goal setting is a powerful process for
thinking about my ideal future, and for motivating myself to turn my vision into reality. The
process of setting goals helps me choose where I want to go in my life. By knowing precisely
what I want to achieve, I know where I have to concentrate my efforts. I also quickly spotted the
distractions that can be easily lead to stray. When I was trying to figure out what my goals were
going to be the first thing I consider was what did I want to achieve. Then once I figured that out
I committed to it. I thought of things that motivated me and wrote them down to make them feel
tangible. Setting lifetime goals gives you the overall perspective that shapes all other aspects of
your decision making. When I did the values assignment I really didnt know what I was doing.
Then I realized that I had to write down things that I stand by and live by. This helped my gain a
lot of knowledge about myself. Resumes, cover letter, mock interview, field experience, etc.
helped me in my overall career path Im going to have to do these things and have them in order.
Everything that I have done will prepare me for my future career path and in everyday life. Im
so glad I took this class. This class really helped me grow as a person. This class revealed that
my present career is for me and to go after my dream. Once you have a goal write it down cross
it off once its complete. Live by your values, live out your dream the sky is the limit only you
can stop you and this class has taught me just that.
