Is it worth the time, effort and money to reach this goal? YES
What are your intrinsic and extrinsic motivations for achieving this goal (pg. 96)?
1. My intrinsic motivation towards this goal is that my self- determination is
through the ruff. I believe in myself, I will not give up until I reach my goal.
This is something that I have always wanted to do since I was a little girl.
2. My extrinsic motivation is to go above and beyond and get the grades I desire
in my classes. Also when I get into pharmacy school continue to strive for the
best and do my best work.
3. Both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation are important on achieving my life
term goal on becoming a pharmacist and owing my own pharmacy. I want
stop until this goal is achieved.

Summary
When I shadowed Adam my eyes really opened before me. I couldnt believe that I was up close
and personal, doing things hands on. My thoughts were I can do this and one day I will be doing
this. Dont get me wrong I was nerves, but it was a good nerve. The highlights of my experience
were getting to check a prescription and counseling a patient. Swiping his Pharmacist card was
the funniest part. One day I will have one of my own. Something that I learned about myself I
didnt know. At one point in time I didnt know if I was going to be happy in my career but
shadowing Adam reinsured my happiness and love for pharmacy. My feelings about becoming a
Pharmacist are sometimes rocky because sometimes I feel like I will fail. If I do fail that just give
me more determination to get back up and try again until I succeed. In my thank you email I
thanked Adam for allowing me to shadow him. Also for being a great role model in my life and
teaching me the ropes and so much knowledge about what pharmacist do. My special thanks was
to Ms. Sandy Camp for even allowing me to come back into the pharmacy without her approval
none of this would be possible.
