CADWorx Equipment 2010: Lesson 4 Equipment Pump
Pump
1. Open CADWorx Equipment and open an Imperial drawing.
2. Click New on the menu and give the pump a name
[P-100]

3. Under Orientation on the menu, change to


Horizontal.
4. Change the tab on the menu from Placement to Components. Click on the icons named Impeller,
Shaft, Coupling, Motor. These items should appear on the components area of the menu. The parts
of the vessel will be shown on the
drawing. The dimensions of each
component may be modified in the
Components area.

5. To add a Suction nozzle on the Impeller, click on Impeller in the component area, and click on the
flange icon in the toolbar. A nozzle should be added to the components and attached to the Impeller
in the center. [You may change the nozzle size in the
Nozzle Details.]

6. Add a discharge nozzle, click on Impeller in the component area, and click on the flange icon in the
toolbar. In the component area, click on Nozzle Details and change size to 3-150-RF. Click on
Suction Side and change the box to No. The flange on the drawing will flip around.

7. You will have to flip the nozzle around to point upward and move it to the impeller. Give the actual
pump details, the important dimension is the relative position from the face of the suction flange to
the face of the discharge flange. For now, simply place it off-center on the top of the impeller. Use
the Distance / Nozzle Placement box to maneuver. You may view this as a solid (View/Visual
