In my meditation this morning, an attractor basin came into existence from the
emptiness of the dau. The perfect mystic vision appeared magically out of
nothing. Geisteswissenschaft came along next, together with the Hegelian
Phenomenology of Mind and the Jungian Collective Unconscious.

The Enlightenment took shape soon after that in my mind. In my mind then
there came into existence integral consciousness as w hole and then human
consciousness as it is when language shapes it according to the holarchical
structures of co-embedded multi-level universals and particulars so that
everything than can be named with words is seen to be both a universal on one
level and a particular on another.

In this manner I could see as Plato and Socrates saw before me and taught me
by showing me in writing that a multiplicity of particulars can be collected
together by a process of reason with the result of emergence of a unity in the form
a symbol which represent a multitude or if your are Saussurean, in the form of a
signifier representing a multitude of signifieds. This I then saw helps to clarify how
human beings exposed to language in the learning of language skills become
magnetized or aligned with a tendency to reduced the complex multitudes of
phenomena into a simple unity via the process of reasoning and analysis in
which similarities are observed and classes of phenomena are established to
mentally cope with complex multitudes of particulars.

In my meditation this morning after the attractor basin appeared magically and
then the succession of rapidly changing transformations were observed as
recorded above in part, I saw how attempts to understand the era now known as
The Enlightenment have been in many cases influenced and dominated by this
reductionist pattern of cognition according to magnetizing alignment of language

capability so that The Enlightenment is often symbolized and represented by a

simple signifier which stands for a far more complex multitude of phenomena.

Then I experienced a transformation in my mind in which I could simultaneous

see The Enlightenment as both a simple concept that is represented by a unity
that is collected together out of multiplicity of phenomena via a process of reason
just as the great philosopher Plato explains in the dramatic person of his
Socrates in conversation with the young man named Phaedrus in the literary
masterpiece of the same name:

The Phaedrus

The nature of the soul the mind if you will, is the subject under discussion. Plato
has Socrates explaining to the young man why it is better to find a partner in life
who is in love with him rather than one who I not in love with him. Phaedrus has
been approached by an older person who wants to have sex with him and has
written up a brochure to explain why it is better for a young person like Phaedrus
to provide sexual pleasure for a person who is not in love with him than to take
the risks involved with someone who is love. Socrates explains that being in love
is a form of madness and goes on to explain that the authentic philosophers who
are in love with the Apollonian Eleusinian life of discovery of knowledge to ascend
towards the supreme knowledgeself knowledgeare seen to be out of their
minds by most people.

Socrates explains to Phaedrus that the appearances of madness in lovers of the

flesh has likenesses with the madness of the lovers of knowledge (philosophers).
The message is that the life of philosophers is far superior to these who remain
obsessively in pursuit of physical pleasure alone and material wealth and political
power because to neglect the spiritual well being is to starve the soulthe mind
and to suffer the consequences of an impoverished psyche-mind-soul and then
to endure the hardships of spiritual sickness.

In this master-piece in the art of literary composition Plato is using

Geisteswissenschaft for the purpose of demonstrating in language that young
men will benefit much more from choosing to live as authentic Apollonian
Eleusinian Ionian Socratic Platonic Academic philosophers attending to the
health and well being of their whole being body and soulthan from being
seduced by the allure of sex-money-power to the exclusion of spiritual well being.

The either or proposition as it seemed to be framed in Platos time, has come

down through the literary tradition of European Western Greek Latin English
literature. This cognitive method of dualistic representation of complexes
(clusters) of phenomena was reinforced by Aristotles Tertium Non Datur
principle, one his laws of logic that took this form in the Latin language and then
took up a central role in the cognitive methods of the Latin language scholars of
the early modern agethe age that gave rise to the Renaissance and
(Copernican) Scientific Revolution.

As it applies to Geisteswissenschaft and the Moral Philosophy (Ethics), the cognitive

Law of Tertium Nin Datur is rally a demand made by teachers and preachers
of their students and parishioners to make a choice between only two alternatives
in a manner that your either with us or you are against us. The preacher-teachers
insisted that you must either choose the cognitive method of dwelling on earning
spiritual rewards in heaven after death by conformity and obedience to the
hierarchy of preacher-teachers.

There was according to the preacher teachers god given freedom of choice as
was well in evidence among the heathenthe pagans, the heretics and atheists
who choose to indulge in physical pleasures and to pursue physical prosperity
wealth and power and to negate and deny the need to attend to spiritual
prosperity and the cultivation of a healthy mind-spirit-soul-psyche.

It is in the context of this duality of tertium non datur as applied to ethics and moral
philosophy that Naturwissenschaft was to become an alternative to the more

traditional Geisteswissen-schaft.

Natural science and Science of Mind (Psychology) were two poles of knowledge
that were split apart under the influence of the cognitive method induced in the
minds of students by the preachers and teachers of the late Latin language era
prior to the first Renaissance in Florence that spread to Italy and all of Europe.

In the form of cognitive revolution the original cognitive methods of the

Florentines who constitute the whole of the complex system and multitude of
phenomena that is the whole of the Florentine renaissance from Marsilio Ficino
onwards, spread outwards not only geographically into all of the Italian territories
but into all of the Latin language population of all of Europe. These revolutionary
cognitive methods spread also through the structures of knowledge from the
starting point in the disciplines of the arts painting, & sculpture &c and the literary
disciplines of theology, philosophy into Science in the form of the Copernican
scientific revolution, into Lutheran and Calvinist theology, into sociology and
political philosophy with the birth of the Westphalia world system and into mutant
species of society and polity in the Netherlands, The United Kingdom, the United
States of American, and the whole family of democratic nations.

Whereas, prior to the Florentine Renaissance, the preachers -teachers of the Latin
language monopolist cognitive alignment and behavior modification institutions
of Imperialist Rome had brutally imposed a cruel cognitive conformity on the
populations under their dominant influence with the consequence that
Geisteswissenschaft had clearly dominated scholarship to the extent that
Naturwissenschaft was forced to take a back seat in the structures of the polities
constituted during the era of Latin language dominance; after the Copernican
Revolution and the rediscovery of the ancient Greek language texts of Plato and
neo-Platonist and other Greek language authors, with the printing presses
churning out a rapidly expanding shower of knowledge an information revolution
lead to a resurgence of Naturwissenschaft and a simultaneous diminution of
Geisteswissenschaft in the minds of the general public and especially in the
educational institutions that came into existence in the form of rebirth of the
Platonic academic pattern.

The Aristotelian-Hebraic Lyceum model of scholasticism that had been adopted

by the Latin language enthusiasts lost the monopoly it had enjoyed as
competitive intuitions came into existence among scholars using Greek and
German, French and English and other vernacular languages. The Academos
model led to a break up of the Lyceum monopoly.

For five centuries the balance between Naturwissenschaft Geisteswissenschaft in

the secular and religious institutions of learning has been systematically modified
to where the dominant culture has now shifted its preaching-teaching to impose
a choice of either Naturwissenschaft of Geisteswissenschaft on students of this era.

There is today a similarity to the Pre-Renaissance era scholastic Latin language

monopolist domination of the (educational) institutors where cognitive methods
are taught and minds are shaped. The dualistic with us or against us cognitive
template is still almost universal in the theistic and secular academies and
schools. No longer though is the monopoly insisting on a cognitive orientation
dominated by Geisteswissenschaft. Until the post era, since 1945, the general
trend over the three centuries since the establishment the Westphalia World
System mutant polity has to increasingly demand a dominance of
Naturwissenschaft so natural science had come to eclipse religion.

The long term decline of the sciences of mind in shaping the cognitive methods
taught to students changed after 1945 when science gave birth to atomic
weapons so that vaporized children of Hiroshima and the gassed and cremated
gypsies and Jews of Auschwitz brought about a sudden decline in the legitimacy
of the natural sciences as the dominant method of cognitive cultivation in
education.

Since 1945 there has been a resurgence of Geistes-wissenschaft the sciences of

mind as sources of authority for education and cognitive alignment in schools,
universities, churches, synagogues, mosque, temples and in the mass media.

Sixty years of rivalry between political conservatives and liberals in the United
States has its planetary equivalent in the cultural wars announced by the right to
engage in total war on all who if they are not with them as declared
conservatives of the right are the enemies who against them on the left. The two
political cultural factions recognized by the public intellectuals on the right
emphasizing either tradition on the right or (progressive) change on the left.

The dualistic interpretation of the dynamical cultural phenomena of the last sixty
five years since the instant terror in the skies above Hiroshima is not the only
interpretation possible. The dualistic theory is, in fact, in accordance with the
feudal era Hebraic-Aristotelian scholastic dualism that was the primary cognitive
principle of the Latin language monopoly used for cognitive alignment practices
by the Imperialist Roman preacher-teachers in pre-Renaissance times before the
synchronistic advent of:

In my mind right now there is and I am the two syntaxes side by side. A man
staring at his equations said that the universe had a beginning. There had been
an explosion, he said. A bang of bangs, and the universe was born. And it is
expanding, he said. He had even calculated the length of its life: ten billion
revolutions of the Earth around the sun. The entire globe cheered:

They found his calculations to be science. None thought that by proposing that
the universe began, the man had merely mirrored the syntax of his mother
tongue; a syntax which demands beginnings, like birth, and developments, like
maturation, and ends, like death, as statements of facts. The universe began, and
it is getting old, the man assured us, and it will die, like all things die, like he himself
died after confirming mathematically the syntax of his mother tongue. Did the
universe really begin? Is the theory of the big bang true? These are not questions,
though they sound like they are. Is the syntax that requires beginnings,

file:///E|/2010/Jun2010/17Jun2010%20Rev%201.htm (6 of 12)6/17/2010 4:44:48 PM

file:///E|/2010/Jun2010/17Jun2010%20Rev%201.htm

developments and ends as statements of fact the only syntax that exists? That's the
real question. There are other syntaxes. There is one, for example, which demands
that varieties of intensity be taken as facts. In that syntax nothing begins and
nothing ends; thus birth is not a clean, clear-cut event, but a specific type of
intensity, and so is maturation, and so is death. A man of that syntax, looking over
his equations, finds that he has calculated enough varieties of intensity to say with
authority that the universe never began and will never end, but that it has gone,
and is going now, and will go through endless fluctuations of intensity. That man
could very well conclude that the universe itself is the chariot of intensity and that
one can board it to journey through changes without end. He will conclude all
that, and much more, perhaps without ever realizing that he is merely confirming
the syntax of his mother tongue.

Two ways of organizing the totality of perception that is our minds. Two types of
Paradigms of Science of Mind. Two Psychologies. The two rival soulogos based
social classes.

One of them is dualistic the other cannot be simplified or reduced to a single or

even a few basic principles. It is diverse and integral rather than simple and
dualistic.

One design for the planetary polity of this new post industrial era is the one offered
by the imperialists who rule the world of capitalist financethe richest and the most
brutal and authoritarian. It is a dualistic social system of two classes. Left and
Right. Conservative and Liberal. Rich and Poor.

Another world is possible even if that one is impossible and improbable as it

seems to me. Another world is possible. It is more than possible in my view.
Another worldanother planetary polity is inevitable in my view. The Imperialists
who pretend to have superior knowledge of how to organize seven or ten
thousand millions of human beings are the rulers of the community of finance
capitaliststhe wealthiest and most powerful people in material and physical

assets and influence.

Another planetary polity design is possible just as the design of the American
society was possible on September 5, 1774 in Philadelphia when the first
Continental Congress was held after the British invasion of Boston in 1768.

The Empire of Davos is the design that is being imposed upon our planetary polity
as many people by the barbarians of finance capital who have been actively
engaged now for more than two decades since the old imperialist duopoly
collapsed when the Berlin Wall was smashed down by the people separated by it.

Ecological Ethics is a branch of the soular power than is shaping the world and
my mind. Sustainability is one of the ideas that has become familiar in the era
prior to the descent of America into the hell of the George Walker Bush years
from December 2000 to January 2009.
