STUDY PLAN

I was graduated from Sebelas Maret University Faculty of Medicine. I started my study in
Faculty of Medicine in 2008 and finished it in early 2014. My interest in obgyn began when i
got into medical profession programme. I think obstetric is unique because you need to safe
both mother and baby. After graduated from Medical faculty i often joined seminar,
symposium adn annual meeting of Obstetric and Gynaecology. As a general practitioner i also
provide antenatal care and helping delivery process in primary health care.
Obstetrician in Indonesia is still lack of number and the inequities distribution of Specialists
in Obstetrics and Gynecology still being the main problem. According to the references from
the Ministry of Health about health services, assigned the ratio of obstetrician is 6 per
100.000 populations. Whereas the obstetrician in Indonesia today is only 3200 and mostly
distribute in urban areas. However the number and the distribution of obstetrician plays an
important role in reducing maternal and neonatal mortality.
I choose specialist program in Airlangga University because UNAIR has been one of the
oldest and the best medical faculty in Indonesia. Department of Obstetric and Gynecology
Airlangga University has 9 professor and about 40 staff and consist of many divisons :
Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Fetomaternal, Gynecologic Oncology, In Vitro
Fertilization. UNAIR also become a pilot project of The Reducing Program of Maternal and
Neonatal Mortality. I hope i can continue my study here and finish it in 9 semesters as it
requires.
Since i was in high senior school i like to join any organisation and arrrenged some activity.
If there any chance, id be happy to join activity in Medical Doctor Association or join some
symposium commitee to improve my interpersonal skill.
In the future i have a dream to do some research related to fetomaternal which is have a quick
progress these days. I want to dedicate my self in goverment health provider and continue my
study to the next level. Beside that i also want to increase people awareness about
reproductive health.
