GUIclients,emailmessages,RESTfulconnections,syslogserversand
*SNMPhosts.
Toaidinsystemtroubleshooting,ESMprovidesvaluableperformance
informationforeachLUNandeachinterfacefromallEtherDrive
devicesontheSAN.Thisdataisdisplayedonauthorizedclient
sessions,andRESTfulinterfaceclients.
Typicalmaintenancetasksincludingalarmreporting,diskfailure
detection,RAIDShieldandSMARTalertmessages,andCorOSfirmware
updatesareallmanageablefromtheESMuserinterface,SSHandREST
interface.
ESMprovidesaccesstoitscontrolandmonitoringfeaturesviaHTTP
usingtheRepresentationalStateTransfer(REST)modelviaHTTPGET
andPOSToperations.HTTPbasicaccessauthenticationisprovidedfor
eachusername.AllGETandPOSTdataisformattedinJavaScript
ObjectNotation(JSON).Messagefollowoneoffourbasicpatterns;
ResourceLists,LabeledGETData,UnlabeledGETDATAandPOSTData.
ESMprovidesrestrictedviewandcontrolaccessofuserstoallow
