Criteria C

Creating the Solution

Task C1: Plan for Manufacture
Time Plan: Gantt Chart, a chart used for describing projected or progressed work by
dividing the task into bits. There should be a series of horizontal lines which show the
amount of work done or production completed in certain periods of time in relation to
the amount planned for those periods.

Brief of my plan: My plan starts at September 25th and wraps up by 22nd October.
Tools used in Manufacturing:
1) Chrome Dev Editor :- Its an intelligent IDE specially designed for the
chrome os. Its designed by Google Inc. to enhance the developer utilities
you have in the Chrome OS.
2) W3Schools :- An online website for mastering few of the worlds most
used programming languages. Its a website for referring, learning and
understand the actions, methods, and techniques of programming to build
various things through a computer.
3) HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript in easy steps :- These are 3 books I
used extensively the actions of programming. Written by Mike
McGrath, who is a highly experienced computer scientist. He
writes books on major fields of computer science.

Steps:
-

Download an IDE (platform for programming)

Create and Label Projects inside the IDE
Inside the project create 3 files
Save each of them with either of the format: .html, .css, and .js
Draw a rough layout with the elements you want to embed
Label each of the element with the associated html tags which can form the design
Open the .html file and start the Programming by HTML
Open the .css file and add styles through CSS

Open the .js file and gIve the pages a logic to function on via JavaScript
Keep saving all the work and run it to check on the front-end progress
Validate the Login and Registration Pages
Merge all the content by linking them internally and externally.

Important Points:
- Be careful and sure for each and every line of the code because minor mistakes
can ruin the front-end of the designed project.
- Always be patient while debugging the code for any mistakes

Estimated Time
I think that by the end of the third week of October, 2016, I would wind up all my work
regarding the login and registration pages and few of the other pages designed during the
development of ideas. This is my first time as a developer at school and I need to
understand a lot of things to give out a refurbished product. I started off with completely no
sense of what I was doing. In other words, I had wasted time. And now, with the piled-up
work, I have to finish the project the end of the week. But the parts with which I am done
came out to be pretty similar to what I had designed in the stage 2. So after I create the
product, I certainly hope it meets my clients challenging expectations.

Criteria C2: Final Output and Final Design:

Final Output
This is the final output I have created with the use of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I typed
all my program in the Chrome Dev editor. I used a lot of CSS to design it accurately as my
developed idea. And also i had approximately 150 lines of code. I had to compile and run it
a lot of times to see how it was progressing at each step.

Summarizing my skills:
- Self-Management
- To think like a designer and a developer
- To infer from codes
- Organizing things
- Syntax Understanding
- Multi-tasking
- Marketing (lobbying)

Hardships I faced
I always freaked out to start a code from the <!DOCTYPE html> tag to the </html> tag. I
wouldnt even understand a single line of code at first. But with the help of the tools, I was
able understand small things and then leading to building pages. I would have major
problems to debug the wrong code. I took a lot of time to find and solve the wrong thing.
Sometimes my syntax wasnt correct and sometimes I used the wrong elements. As I had
write 3 different languages, they all came at me with different levels of hardships. At first I
faced a problem onto bringing up the basic content through HTML onto the front-end and
then CSS was very tricky to understand. But CSS becomes very easy once you
understand how its written as it's meant to solve the problems of style for HTML. Then
JavaScript was a totally different language which it would take hours for me to just
understand a basic amount of code. Then ultimately my last problem was getting them
work together and connect them in the front-end. Because I didnt know the tags for calling
upon javascript and inputting the css styles to each and every element.

Changes to the final product

I had to make changes to meet up with the time factor. I had made changes in the margins
of the page and tried to make it crisp. I did some alignment to the buttons and finished it in
a shorter period of time. I compromised a lot of minor things like the font of the buttons,
spacing of the letters etc.
Timeline of the third stage
So we started off the third stage by having a brief introduction to HTML and how we can
embed JavaScript into the HTML. We took few examples and compiled few codes to
physically understand what it takes to write a computer program. Next we started to write
our own code for the login and registration pages. Later we need to validate them and by
the end of the third week of the october,2016, the project would get wrapped.
Conclusion
Creating the Solution was really challenging. Although the Login and Registration Pages
were ultimately created with high amounts of html and css. Validation was a tough
because it was a completely a new language with a harder syntax. From the first stage,
Inquiring and Analysing, to the current stage creating the solution, I have acquired skills
and little amount of experience to think as a seller and how to market your product. I learnt
html and css. The time taken was a lot. I fortunately was able to follow the gantt chart. This
leads to the end of the third stage with the successful product, Login and Registration
Pages.
