Summary
A Senior GIS Professional is responsible to develop, maintain and update discipline specific GIS
databases. He is also responsible for manipulating GIS data to create information products to
meet discipline specific needs. In addition to developing and applying GIS analysis solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for design, development, maintenance and implementation of Geographic
Information Systems (GIS) based information and data.
Create maps and graphs, using GIS software and related tools.
Meet with users to define data needs, project requirements, required outputs, or
develop applications.
Gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data from staff to determine the best way the
information can be displayed using GIS.
Compile geographic data from a variety of sources including censuses, field observation,
satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps.
Analyze spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into documents and reports.
Analyze geographic relationships among varying types of data.
Prepare metadata and other documentation.

Skills and Qualifications

Education
University Degree in Business Administration or Computer Engineering.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
GIS Technical Certificate is an advantage.
Knowledge of various methods for describing the location and distribution of land, sea, and
air masses including their physical locations, relationships, and characteristics.
Ability to convey GIS/spatial information to non-GIS/technical people.
Ability to solve problems using the GIS suite of tools.

Experience
5+ years of relevant experience.
A transferable Iqama is a must
