ISSUE: North Korea

SPEECH: Gary Johnson does believe that North Korea is the nation's greatest threat.

Johnson believes that Kim will be able to launch his missiles from North Korea. The way that
we see it, our best bet would be to partner with the Chinese. From there we can work together
to unify the Koreas and potentially take our 40,000 troops out of South Korea. What will
pulling our troops out do? Well first of all it shows that we do not want to cause any negative
interactions and it allows us to stop disrupting their way of living. What it will do is it will make
it so we dont have to spend as much money on troops overseas to keep them there which
potentially saves us more.
There were reports of three ballistic missiles landing in Japanese Air Defense Zones.
CNN wrote an article stating that North Korea has finally created the weaponry to achieve
this. North Korea also says that they were indeed responsible for the launching of those
missiles. South Korea reported that the test had the equivalent of 10 kilotons (20,000,000 lbs)
of TNT. Is this going to be left alone? Gary Johnson had feared that one day North Korea
would have the capability to fire nuclear missiles and now CNN has created the article to
confirm those fears. How will this be handled? Let me restate that North Korea conducted
launches and tests in foreign territory without permission. That can be seen as a conducted
attack on said territory no matter how empty Japanese island was.
Gary Johnson was asked in an interview with the New York Times if he did indeed
know what the leader of North Koreas name was, he refused to answer the question. He
asked if he really had to answer this and then refused to the rest of the interview. Of course
this only raised suspicion making people question if he really didnt know. It was pointed out
that this was just the latest example of how his foreign policy was actually tumbling. Previous
examples include when he responded to a question with Whats Aleppo? It is completely
understandable that he would refuse to state his name. Acknowledging him in anyway is just
giving him the noticeability and publicity that we are indeed trying to avoid. It is very much like
when people question why Trump has so much publicity, if you keep talking about him in
anyway, it wont matter because hes still getting it. It creates the popularity that allows them
to take the advantage over us and try to dictate us and treat us like we are below them.
