Muhammad Ali was a American Olympic and professional boxer and e.g

Read the following text. Then, answer questions (a) (j).
150 houses in Johor Baru hit by flash floods
JOHOR BARU: Flash flood affected residents in 150 houses in Kampung Dato Hajah
Hasnah, here at about 4.30 p.m. today.
The flash flood, which occurred after an hour-long heavy downpour caught many residents
by surprise. They tried to salvage their belongings. The flood level reached less than 0.5 metre
high.
A resident, Amidah Hasan, 49, said she was taking care of her two grandchildren when
water came rushing into her living room.
The water was up to my calves. My daughter and I rushed to place our belongings on
higher spot of the house, she said, adding the flash flood receded after an hour and a half.
Another resident, Zainab Mohd, 68, said she was also with her grandchildren when it began
to flood.
Flash flood had occurred in this area every time it rains heavily. It is strange to be faced
with flood and a downpour as the weather had been very hot these past few weeks, she said.
Meanwhile, Johor Baru Civil Defence Department volunteer team officer, Mazwan Shah
Harin said the department received a distress call at 4 p.m. and an eight-member team was
dispatched to help villagers in the flash flood.
Heavy rain began about 3.30 p.m. and we received a report that one of the main monsoon
drains connected to Sungai Tebrau had overflown.
No casualties or injuries were reported, he said.

Question 4
Read the following passage.
Long time ago, durian, the king of fruits, did not taste and smell the way it does now. During
those days, all the trees beneath the durian tree would feel uncomfortable when the durian
season was coming. The durian would usually grow very big.
The other trees were anxious because they were afraid when the durian fell down from its
tree. It would eventually hit the growing trees beneath it. The sharp thorns of the durian
always hurt the growing trees below it.
"Oops! I'm sorry I did it again," said the durian every time. But nothing could change the
leaves and the bark of the other trees that were peeled off.
When the durian broke, the smelly flesh would be dispersed and the pale yellow flesh would
make the surrounding become messy. The other trees understood the situation but they could
not bear with it.
One day, one of the growing trees spoke out, "The durian hurts very much." The others
agreed. All the growing trees hoped the wind from the mountain would blow because its
smell was fragrant and it could cover the smell of durian.
One fine day, a creeping plant asked the durian, "Why don't you bear flowers and fruits when
the wind blows from the mountain?" It added, "If you do it, your flowers and fruits will smell
sweet."
Durian replied the creeping plant, "You are right. I will bear my flowers and fruits when the
wind from the mountain blows."
Since then, the durian tree bears its flowers and fruits when the wind from the mountain
blows. The durian started to smell as fragrant as the wind from the mountain. Soon, when the
wind stopped blowing, the fragrant smell had transferred itself to the durian. From that time
on, the smell of the durian is redolent until today.
