Scene 2: Prop 47 & 57 -Victoria

Possible theme: Have we done something about it?
Did it work?
1. Prop 47: 3 nons
a. Similarity to 57
And this problem has been questioned for a long time. This prop. Will most
definitely affect victims and most importantly, the offenders. Have we approached it
a different way? Yes, we have. Prop. 47
The point we are proving is we have created a proposition (that passed) with no
victim. Prison overcrowding is unfortunately still a problem.
b. The success it has given in California
Well, was it a success? It really depends on how you define success....
We are trying to give a sense of understanding that if prop 57 passes, it can succeed
and have great benefits just like 47 did.
c. Will it rise crime rate now that 2 nons acceptable?
Since crime rate didn't rise immediately when non-violent, non-sexual, and
non-serious inmates were released is it possible that it can be the same for 57?
Scene 3: Effects. Why this is a major problem.
Possible Intro Line & theme: Background noise of a prison
1.What ifs & Red alert
a.
Prison overcrowding is a problem that as we have seen in the past it isnt easy to solve,
we have already tried with prop 47 and nothing happend. What we need to start
doing is trying to approach the problem from different ways because trying the same
thing isnt solving the problem.

1.Complications
a. What is it fails?
Can this fail? Chances are that crime rates will rise and many will break parole
Those who disobey parole are not sent to prison, they are sent to jail. Will this
proposition influence the results we were hoping it would be?
b. Non-Violent is still violent
Some of these listed crimes that are considered non-violent might shock the public.
(Maybe we can fit a interview of a citizen)
