    StatementfromUniversityofOklahomaPresidentDavidL.BorenregardingtheUniversityof
    Pennsylvaniaincidentreportede arliertoday:

    "TheUniversityofOklahomahasmadeitc learthatwewillnottolerateracismorhatespeechthat
    constitutesa threattoourc ampusorothers.Wehavea recordoftakingswifta ctiononcea llofthefacts
    areknown.Ihaveorderedthea ppropriateofficialsa touruniversitytoopenimmediateinquiryto
    determinethee xtentofinvolvementbya UniversityofOklahomastudentinthismatter.Theuniversity
    hasa lreadydeterminedfromitspreliminaryinquirythatthere'sa basisfora temporarysuspensionofthe
    studentunderourstudentc odewhilewec ontinuetogathera llofthefacts.Thatsuspensionise ffective
    immediately.Itwoulda ppearthismatterdidnotoriginatea ttheUniversityofOklahoma,butstarted
    elsewhere.Thismatteroriginallysurfacedfrommessagestostudentsa ttheUniversityofPennsylvania.
    Wea renotifyingtheUniversityofPennsylvaniaofourfinding.
