CALL FOR APPLICATIONS


FORUM FOR EDUCATION REFORMS IN THE WESTERN
BALKAN COUNTRIES
We are pleased to inform you that the Robert Schuman Institute (RSI) carries out
a seminar in collaboration with the Robert Schuman Foundation Luxemburg and
the kind support of the EPP Group in the European Parliament under the title
Regional Forum on Education Reform and the Challenge of Braindrain
in 02-04 December, 2016. The event will be provided for 25 people with relevant
duties / functions of education in EPP sister parties and their parliamentary
groups in the following Western Balkan countries: Albania, Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Macedonia, Kosovo and Serbia. The program will be organised
in Skopje, Macedonia.
Aims of the project:
Sharing different approaches to education by EPP Group in the European
Parliament, YEPP and EDS
Stimulate cooperation among parliamentary groups of the region
To support the EU-oriented work of EPP sister parties in the Western Balkan
countries by capacity building
Exchanging best practices and experiences among relevant advisors and
field experts
Introducing European methodologies on vocational training, dual education
and youth work
To establish a cross-border professional network of pro-European young
people from the Western Balkan countries
Pre-requisites of participation:
Demonstrated connection with the educational oriented activities of a
party
High level written and oral proficiency in English
Applicants born between 1981-1991
Complete application package including form, official reference letter
from a party presidency member
Working days:
02-04 DECEMBER (Friday afternoon-Sunday morning) in Skopje,
Macedonia
Travel dates: arrival on 02 December, Friday morning before noon
departure on Sunday (04 December) after program, around 14 h:
full attendance is necessary.
Working language: English (no translation will be provided)
Application Process
The following documents should be sent to the RSI by
e-mail (office@schuman-institute.eu):
a completed application form

1 letter of reference (signed, on official letterhead)

from the delegating party signed by a member of the national board /


presidency one from the international secretary of the party
Successful applicants must bring their original recommendation letter to the
course.

Financial arrangements
The costs of seminar including lectures as well as costs of full-board and
accommodation during the program will be covered by the organisers.
(Participants will be accommodated in double rooms.)
International travel to Skopje will partially covered by the organizers.
Participants (or delegating parties) are expected to cover insurance,
local travel (including to/from any airport) and any additional personal
expenses.
