The reason for marks given to solar

The marks of the cost given to the solar energy system water pumping is
the lowest due to its expensive cost. The power which is estimated for the
need of water for villagers is 3.126KW and the estimated cost will be
15223.62 dollars. The suppliers are needed for the solar system because
the villagers of Sandikhola cannot afford the expensive system due to
Sandikhola is a low-income village.
The marks given for the efficiency of solar energy system water pumping
is high due to it can fulfil the need of the power supply. The power loss for
one solar cell is high which is 70% (Solar Energy Home, 2014). However,
as compared to other types of system, the power generated by solar
system power pumping is high.
The maintenance of solar energy system is the easiest and low-cost
compared to other systems and thus it scored the highest marks in the
aspect of maintenance. The main materials of the solar system which
need to maintain are solar panels and battery. The maintenance of solar
panel is to clean up the dirt on the solar panel which may affect the
efficiency of solar cell (Solar Company, 2014). Besides, the battery need a
regular maintenance and the cost of it will depend on the type of PV
system used (Southface, 2014).
The life span of the solar energy system is relatively low as compared to
other systems. Different components of solar system have different life
expectancies. Solar panel has the higher life expectancies which is 30
years and its warranty will be around 20 to 25 years (Colorado State
University Extension, 2014). The pump controller which used to manage
the flow of electricity will last for ten years (Colorado State University
Extension, 2014). Thus, the life span of solar system is not satisfactory
when consider the situation of the villagers.

The Strengths of the Solar System

Solar energy system water pumping is a renewable resources energy
system for water pumping. It is a good choice to replace the unrenewable
energy system such as fossil fuels in order to prevent the depletion of the
alternative resources. Solar energy system is a non-polluting and
environmental friendly system as compared to other systems such as wind
energy system and alternative energy system (Benefits of Recycling,
2014). Unlike the wind energy system, solar energy system will not
provide the noise and damage the animal. Besides, it is totally a clean
energy which comes from sunlight and it will not cause pollutions.
Solar energy system does not require many maintenance and the cost of
maintenance is low (Alternative Energy, 2014). There are only a few
components of solar energy system require maintenance such as solar
panels and battery. The cost of maintenance only specifies to battery after
the installation of solar energy system and this is why the cost of
maintenance for solar energy system is low.
