19.What was your first job out of medical school
a. First job was in an emergency room. Worked for a year and then
started a radiology residency for the next four years.
20.What were the most difficult courses in medical school for you?
a. I think gross anatomy was the hardest course in school. Thats when
you dissect cadavers. About half the class was failing before the final
exam. Its funny because a radiologist has to know a lot about
anatomy.
21.Any interesting or unusual stories during your time in medical school or
residency.
a. We had to draw each other blood and give each other shots.
22.What are the requirements for continuing medical education (CME)
a. CME means continuing medical education. Every doctor has to get a
certain number of training hours of CME every year. Usually about 30
hours. This varies by state.
23.Do doctors follow a different dress code around the hospitals
a. Doctors dress professionally in the hospital and many times wear a
white lab coat over their normal attire.
24.Where have you traveled because of your work?
a. Radiologist generally only travel to attend CME course. These can be in
many locations as well as at home through videos or online. I have
been to the Caribbean, San Francisco, Chicago, and Seattle, among
others.
