Party customs around the world

Around the world there are many cultures and their party customs are very different and
weird for us. These parties are to celebrate a birthday, seasons, holidays and other simple
traditions.
SEASONS

Holi Festival, India


In India each year welcome spring in a special
way: "Holi" is the festival of colors and one of the
most important festivals in the country. Not only
celebrate the change from winter to spring, but
also, according to Hinduism, the victory of good
over evil - and do so with much color. During this
celebration, people painted and throwing colored powders

HOLYDAYS
Czech Republic

children seize the child's arms and legs. Then the child
is thrown up into the air and back down again as many

luck.

to hold the arms and legs of the birthday boy, and kick
him in the buttocks with or without shoes. This can be
done gently, or in a manner which causes pain
depending on the level of frustration the kicker has on
the kicked. The belief is that all anger and bitter feelings
which the kickers have on the kicked are vented and
forgotten on the birthday of the kicked.

Holland - crown years


Special year birthdays such as 5, 10, 15, 20, 21 are
called "crown" years. The birthday child receives an
especially large gift on a crown year birthday. The
family also decorates the birthday child's chair at the
dining room table with seasonal flowers or paper
