Connection: My first point about comparing personal experiences to what is about to be discussed
within a class connects to what I have been talking about in all my BPs. In why students hate social
studies they discussed that these students dont believe that social studies will help or relate to their
everyday lives once they graduate. This is an effective and easy (almost any teacher could do this) to
maybe change some students opinions on this. It a small difference that could impact greatly on your
students want to learn and how they process the information that they are given.
