AARON RAFAEL AGUILA III started playing the guitar at age 9.

He
earned his Bachelor of Music Degree in Guitar in April 2013 from the
University of the Philippines Diliman under the tutelage of Lester
Demetillo. He also had lessons with German classical guitarist Carsten
Linck.
Earlier, he obtained his Certificate in Music (2011) and Diploma in Creative
and Performing Musical Arts (2012), he also became the president of U.P.
Guitar Orchestra.
In 2015, he got the first prize at the Jakarta ASEAN Guitar Festival.
STING ASISTORES had his first classical guitar lessons at the age of 9
under Prof. Lester Demetillo. At the age of 13, he auditioned in the
Philippine High School for the Arts in Mt. Makiling (PHSA) and was
accepted as a music scholar. His competition prizes include 1st place in
the Junior Master's Competition, 3rd place in the 2015 Trattoria Poggio
Antico Competition, and special prize in the 2016 Asia International Guitar
Festival in Thailand.
Sting has performed as a solo and chamber musician in venues such as
the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, Paco
Park Presents and in the Abelardo Hall, where he opened Tomonori Arai's
concert last March. He also performed in radio shows such as DZFE 98.7
Bravo Filipino and DWBR 104.3 Harana ng Puso. He has played in
masterclasses by Dr. Angelito Agcaoili, Judicael Perroy, and Brian Gnojeck
of the Juilliard School.
Sting is currently a grade 10 student in the Philippine High School for the
Arts under the tutelage of Prof. Lester Demetillo.
AEMILIO CECILIO ENGINCO is a graduate of Bachelor of Music in
Classical Guitar Performance, under the tutelage of Prof. Alberto O. Mesa,
at the University of Santo Tomas.

Throughout his undergraduate program, he has garnered prizes from


different competitions, both local and international, namely:
1st Prize - UST Classical Guitar Competition 2013
3rd Prize - NAMCYA Guitar Category C 2014
2nd Prize - Tarrega Malaysia International Guitar Competition 2015
3rd Prize - Hong Kong International Guitar Competition 2015
1st Prize - PWU Classical Guitar Competition 2016
Aemilio has taken masterclasses from world-renowned artists such as
Joseph Mirandilla (CHI/PHI), Angelito Agcaoili (PHI/USA), Berta Rojas
(Paraguay), Jeremy Jouve (France), Rupert Boyd (USA), Carsten Linck
(Germany), and Judicael Perroy (France).
He has been awarded the Miguel Benavides Outstanding Achievement
Award by the University of Santo Tomas upon his graduation.

DAVID JAE LAZA is a graduate at the Philippine Women's University
System majoring in Music Education with emphasis in classical guitar
performance under the tutelage of Maestro Jose Valdez & Dr. Angelito
Agcaoili. He is a member of the Phil. Women's University Guitar Ensemble
Under Prof. Benchito Cario. He has participated in the guitar orchestra of
the philippine guitar festival in 2012. David has attended and participated
in several Masterclasses conducted by key personalities in the guitar
scene such as Ichi Shin Fukuda, Joseph Mirandilla, Judicael Perroy and
Berta Rojas. He was also proclaimed as the grand winner in the first ever
PWU Guitar Competition held last February 2014 at the Philippine
Women's University. In 2014, he became a finalist in the AIGF held in
Thailand competing with other classical guitarist from around the world. He
was also a semi-finalist in the Tarrega Malaysia International Classical

Guitar Competition this 2015. Last June 2016 David got the 2nd prize in
the PWU Classical Guitar Competition Open Category.

CHRISTIAN JOHN MERCADER is a 4 th year music student at St.
Scholasticas College Manila taking up Music Education with Guitar
Principal under the tutelage of Ramoncito Monching Carpio. He is
currently a member of several guitar ensembles namely: St. Scholasticas
College Guitar Ensemble, The Metropolitan Guitar Ensemble, and The
Kabataang Gitarista of CCP. He had undergone Masterclass with Maestro
Francisco Bernier.
He has performed in different stages such as Rizal Park Open-Air
Auditorium, Corazon Aquino Hall, St, Cecilias Hall, Philippine International
Convention Center, Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino, CCP, Bulwagang
Nicanor Abelardo, CCP, and Tanghalang Huseng Batute, CCP.
He has also performed in DZRH Diskarte and 98.7 DZFE, together with
the Kabataang Gitarista. He has performed in public high school tours in
Manila to promote appreciation for, and interest in classical guitar. He also
performs annually in the Pasinaya Open-House Festival of the Cultural
Center of the Philippines. Last Pasinaya 2016, he conducted a short
lecture on the history of the classical guitar.
He is also an active guitarist in the Lakbay Harana Series of CCP which
was conducted in Pila, Laguna, and Angeles, Pampanga, together with Sir
Agot Espino, Arman Ferrer, Myramae Meneses, and the Kabataang
Gitarista.
He was also cited in several online news such
as gmanetwork.com,philstar.com, inquirer.net, bwonline.com,
and fashionlifestyle.org, as part of the promotion of Harana sa Dapithapon,
a project of Mr. Danny Dolor and CCP.

Last May 2016, he performed in the Mindanao State University-Iligan


Institue of Technology in Cagayan De Oro, together with the Kabataang
Gitarista in order to educate the youth regarding the Classical Guitar as
well as the possibilities of ensemble playing.
