penetrationtestdevelopedbyCaliforniaStateHighwayDepartment(U.S.A.)forevaluatingthebearingcapacityofsubgrade
soilfordesignofflexiblepavement.
Testsarecarriedoutonnaturalorcompactedsoilsinwatersoakedorunsoakedconditionsandtheresultssoobtainedare
comparedwiththecurvesofstandardtesttohaveanideaofthesoilstrengthofthesubgradesoil.
