Parallel Workshop Session : Alternative Learning System (ALS) and Equivalencies
Lead Convenors: Coalitions for Change in Basic Education (CFC)/Sustainability and
Participation through Education and Lifelong Learning (SPELL)
Objectives:
1. To highlight the importance of ALS in national development and in addressing
equity,
2. To take stock of progress, and
3. To identify issues, solutions and areas of collaboration that would strengthen
and expand ALS in the framework of lifelong learning.
Target participants: Specialists, managers and policy makers in Deped and other
relevant agencies; various stakeholders advocating for an effective ALS and partners
implementing ALS programs and projects; select ALS Facilitators and Coordinators;
TESDA and CHED officials and experts on learning pathways.
