Mobile phone systems started to provide person-to-person voice

communication in the early 1990s. In the following generation, data
communications via Internet connection were offered and the
number of mobile phone subscribers increased exponentially. For
enhanced mobile communication, the 3G/4G system has now been
standardized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU),
making multimedia services including streaming video available.
New application are also currently emerging on the business scene.
RU(Remote Unit)

In view of the importance of maintaining high-quality

communications in tall buildings or underground arcades,
antenna distribution systems for mobile phone systems are
installed so as to enable users to communicate anywhere
and anytime
Antenna distribution system can provide protocol free
infrastructure, you can configure WCDMA, CDMA, LTE and
other system on it, it can be used for a long period even if
mobile technology was evolved..

Distributed antenna systems can be configured various option (i.e. combination of active distribution and passive).
Master unit is connected to BTS and distribute signal into Remote unit, and Remote unit feed RF signal into mobile
in building via passive distribution antenna. If the count of Remote unit to keep in-building coverage was large, for
the case, Repeater units will be added between Master and Remote.
Toshiba provide this kind of system to Japanese mobile carrier for both indoor and outdoor.

DAS system feature;

Support B1, B18 (2GHz, 800MHz)

Maximum 16 Remote units
Passive distribution at antenna
Active distribution at optical port
High RF output power support (20W/20MHz)
High tolerable input interference
Dark fiber support
Simple management from both local and remote.

Generation.3: Multiband & MIMO support

TOSHIBA Confidential & Proprietary

The number of smart phone and tablet dramatically increased in recent years, and mobile data traffic also
grew more than 50% per year as you know well. Japanese mobile carrier tried off-loading mobile traffic using
WiFi, but it is not enough to keep the capacity.
Japanese mobile carrier wants to installed Multi-band MIMO
support device for in-building system to provide high quality service,
and Toshiba develop multi-band MIMO and CA support.
